Process
The diagram below shows the process of growing and preparing pineapples and pineapple
products.
The diagram provides a comprehensive illustration of how pineapples are grown and prepared
for pineapple products.
Overall, there are two main stages involved in the diagram , commencing with natural grown
process and ending with the production one. It is notable that the pineapples will be produced
into juice, canned pineapples and for exportations.
As observed, the natural grown process started with growing the crown and ended with the
bigger size of the pineapple. With the temperatures ranging from 23 to 30 degrees, pineapples
are grown using the crown. After 7 months, the introduction of ethaline helps the fruits grow to
their maximum size within 5 months, which is 30 cm.
After being grown in tropical environment, pineapples undergo a thorough cleaning process and
are sorted into three groups. Those with minimum or medium size have their tops and rinds
removed and peeled. They are then either being extracted to make juice or chopped for canned
pineapples. Regarding the exported pineapples that are maximum-sized, they are coated with
wax and then packed into crates before being shipped via freight overseas.
