before we proceed to our first destination let me introduce to you first the Vigan
City.

Vigan City is the capital of ilocos Sur, Vigan is unique among the Philippine towns
because it is the country's most extensive and only surviving historic city that dates
back to the 16th century Spanish colonial period. Did you know that Vigan is one
of UNESCO World Heritage Site because of its best preserved example of a
planned Spanish Colonial town in Asia.
Let’s go to our first destination!
Welcome to Calle Crisologo, is just located 5 minutes away from the City of
Vigan. Calle Crisologo is also known as Mena Crisologo Street is one of the streets
in the Philippines. Where you can still see and ride an actual Kalesa. This historical
street is where you’ll find abundant ancestral homes of Ilocano descendants still
standing strong up to this date. These Spanish-style houses are a perfect
representation of the simple yet elegant. Living of the Filipino-Spanish families
back in the day.

Our second destination is Bantay Church Bell Tower

One of Vigan's most iconic symbols is the Bantay Bell Tower. First built in 1591, it
served as the town's watchtower before being tumed into a bell tower by the nearby
church in 1857. Located roughly 10 minutes from the town of Vigan, it's located in
the town of Bantay, Ilocos Sur. It has looked over the town of both Bantay and
Vigan for centuries, and was known as Diego and Gabriela Silang's favorite date
spot during the 17th century. The bell tower is situated on a hill, making it the best
vantage point for those who were assigned to watch over the towns of Vigan and
Bantay.

Our third destination is Baluarte Resort and Mini Zoo

Dubbed as the Home of The Big Cats in Vigan. The approximately 80- hectare
Baluarte Zoo, where numerous pets can be found, sits on a hill that provides an
awesome panoramic view of Vigan City. This interactive free-roaming animal
sanctuary is home to albino and spotted deer, miniature horses: impalas; one-
humped camels; goats, zebras; ostriches; monkeys; llamas and buffalo plus a slew
of bird species, from the common African love birds, ducks, swans, midget
chickens and parrots to the more exotic hornbilis. Did you know that this hundred-
hectare zoological park and resort complex is owned by the former Ilocos governor
Luis “Chavit” Singson

Our last destination is Padre burgos museum

The Padre Burgos Museum is one of the three historic buildings that is part of the
National Museum of the Philippines – Ilocos (NMP – Ilocos). The museum is an
ancestral house constructed in 1788, which was declared as a historical building
owing to its association with the martyred priest, Fr. Jose Burgos (1837-1872),
whose death along with two other priests sparked the anti-Spanish colonial
resistance.
