Aisha (RA)reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Ten acts are
part of natural instinct: trimming the moustache, letting the beard grow, using the tooth stick, sniffing
water into the nose, clipping the nails, washing the knuckles, removing hair from the underarms, shaving
the pubic hair, and cleaning the private parts with water.” Mus’ab said, “I forgot the tenth, except that
it might be rinsing the mouth.”

Write the meaning of the following words.

I. Define
a. Sunan al fitrah.
Religious rules that are connected with the cleanliness of the human body. So that it keeps Muslims in
better shape and appearance. Following them is part of faith and obedience to the Most Gracious.
b. Siwak or miswak.
Siwak, or miswak, is an Arabic word which indicates either the act of brushing teeth with the siwak, or
the tool used in brushing teeth, a tooth-cleaning twig from the arak tree. Using Siwak is important
because it purifies the mouth and is recommended by the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) for maintaining
oral hygiene and pleasing Allah.
II. Fill in the blanks:

III. Explain briefly.
a. Washing the finger joints
Finger joints are areas where dirt can accumulate and cause infections. Therefore, it is highly
recommended to always keep them clean.
b. Cleaning one’s private parts with water.
According to Hadith, it is recommended to cleanse the private parts with water for Taharah
(purity) and hygiene.
IV. Answer the following
1. Explain the significance of Sunan al-Fitrah in maintaining personal hygiene and its impact on daily life.
Sunan al-Fitrah includes practices that align with human nature and cleanliness. These practices, such
as trimming nails, shaving pubic hair, and using the miswak, are essential for personal hygiene. They
help us stay clean and healthy, show that we follow Islamic teachings, and respect ourselves. Regularly
following these practices ensures that a person remains pure and prepared for acts of worship,
combining our faith with our daily routines.
V. Classify the following in the table as appropriate:
