panel discussion on the role and duties of parents in the growth
and development of children. We have six distinguished experts
with us who will each provide their insights on different aspects
of parenting. We’ll start with Dr.M.Varun
(Child Psychologist).
Dr.M.Varun (Child Psychologist): “Thank you, Shakthi. As a child
psychologist, I want to emphasize the importance of emotional
support in a child’s development. Parents should focus on
creating a safe and nurturing environment where children feel
heard and understood. Effective emotional support includes
active listening, validating feelings, and providing consistent
reassurance. By fostering a secure emotional foundation,
parents help their children build resilience and develop a
positive self-image.”

crucial role in supporting their child’s learning journey. This

However, it’s important to strike a balance—parents should
guide and support rather than take over their child’s
educational responsibilities. This approach helps children
develop independence and a love for learning.”

Dr. S.Sarthak (Pediatrician): I’m Dr. S.Sarthak. When it comes to
health and well-being, parents must ensure their children
receive proper nutrition, regular exercise, and sufficient rest. It’s
also important to address mental health by creating an open
dialogue about feelings and stressors. A holistic approach to
health supports overall development and helps children lead
balanced, healthy lives.”

Mr. T.Charan (Parenting Coach): “Hello, I’m T.Charan. Balancing
involvement with fostering independence is a key aspect of
parenting. Parents should encourage children to take on
responsibilities appropriate for their age and make their own
decisions, while providing guidance and support. This balance
helps children develop confidence and problem-solving skills,
preparing them for future challenges.”

Mr. PARAG (Technology Specialist): “Hi, I’m Parag. In the digital
age, managing technology use is essential. Parents should set
clear boundaries for screen time and ensure children engage
with technology in a balanced way. It’s also crucial to educate
children about online safety and encourage the use of
technology for educational and constructive purposes. This
approach helps children develop a healthy relationship with
digital tools.”

insightful and concise contributions. Each of you has highlighted
a critical aspect of parenting that contributes to a child's growth

REFLECTIONS:
Working on the project "Role & Duties of Parents in the Growth and
Development of Children" has been a truly enlightening experience. While
preparing the script and researching the different aspects of parenting, I gained
valuable insights into the multifaceted responsibilities that parents have in
shaping their children’s future.
I learned that parenting is not just about fulfilling basic needs but also about
providing emotional, educational, and social support. Each expert's perspective
added depth to my understanding of how various factors like emotional security,
education, health, independence, and technology usage influence a child's
development.
From Dr. M. Varun, I understood the importance of emotional support in building
resilience and a positive self-image in children. Mr. Pugalenthi's insights
reinforced how structured academic guidance can nurture a love for learning
while fostering independence. Dr. S. Sarthak's discussion on health and well-
being reminded me of the significance of a holistic approach to physical and
mental health.
Mr. T. Charan's views on balancing independence with guidance emphasized the
importance of allowing children to make their own decisions while offering
support. Finally, Mr. Parag's insights on technology taught me how crucial it is
to manage digital engagement constructively in today’s world.
This project not only enhanced my knowledge about parenting but also improved
my skills in researching, organizing information, scriptwriting and especially it
overcome my fear of facing camera. Additionally, I learnt how to Edit videos,
proper color grading and background music, text animation, visual effects and
many more.
In conclusion, this project was an eye-opening journey that deepened my
understanding of the significance of parental roles and inspired me to value and
acknowledge the contributions of parents in a child’s life And I get to learn new
skills for that I would thank all my team mates especially M. Varun who taught
how to speak fluent English.
