Episode VI
The Core of Corruption
The Nazren uprising is over. Out of the chaos, Senator Organa’s agents return
to the starship Resurgence with new data essential to discovering
the origins of the mysterious Sarlacc Project.
Fearing that swift Imperial action will invalidate the compromised information,
the Imperial traitor Admiral Varth has reassembled Organa’s agents for a dangerous
trip to the heart of the Empire. There they must continue their desperate search
for the Sarlacc Project, under the oppressive gaze of the Empire itself…
Session 20
(Played on 01-02-22)
As they enter the stark white briefing room, Admiral Varth waits impatiently for them to take their seats. The Admiral looks extremely tired and sleep
deprived. It takes Them a moment to realize that Captain Verana sits nearby, near the familiar assisting astromech droid. Admiral Varth begins.
“Congratulations. The data you obtained on Nizon is very revealing, so much so that I fear that once the Empire realizes it has been compromised, they
will take steps to invalidate it. I’m afraid that time is not on our side.
“Thanks to you, we now know the origin of the Sarlacc Project, if not its final purpose.” The Admiral signals the droid, and the holoprojector activates,
showing a very familiar city-planet. “I suppose we should not be surprised that the project’s origin and design team resides on Imper—I mean, Coruscant. I
do not believe that the entire project is housed there, given the casualty figures I have seen in my former Imperial life. However, it is apparent from the new
data that the project is controlled from somewhere in this area.”
The Admiral waves at the droid, and the view zooms to the planet’s surface, highlighting a large district that includes some of the Empire’s most important
governmental structures, such as the Imperial Senate. “Unfortunately, we do not have an exact fix on the building or agency directly responsible for the
project. The leads we have are impossible to pursue remotely. Therefore, we must send you in as soon as possible.”
Captain Verana speaks in a serious tone. “Before we delve into the details, you should know that our benefactor has fully authorized this mission, and he
wanted me to personally assure you of its importance.”
The holoprojector zooms out to show thousands of starships, space stations, and satellites orbiting or approaching Coruscant. “Coruscant is, of course, the
center of the Empire. If you have not been to the system since the days of the Republic, the amount of traffic and the level of security may astound you.
Peace and order, even under an oppressive government, have brought new opportunities to corporations and individuals throughout the galaxy.
Between the prosperity of the Core Worlds and the rebuilding of the planets damaged by the Clone Wars, traffic to Coruscant has increased many times
what it was only a few years ago. Security has also increased, so it will be vital that you have the proper documentation and permits to approach the system
and land at a suitable port. I will provide this for you.”
With that, the Admiral finally takes a seat, leaving the holoprojector on as a nearly silent reminder of your final destination. “Now, I’m sure you have
additional questions.”
After a brief discussion the players learn several things. Most importantly is that they each will make $5,000 for this as well as receiving a resupply of their
used equipment and repairs and fueling for their Ship. They then debate if they want to take their own ship or fly a YT-1300 called the Onderon Sky to
Courscant. Deciding on taking the “Sky” reasoning that it would be less noticeable then their own ship. They ask about their papers and documents and are
assured that they will hold up and that the drives of the ship will match what the transponder and the BoSS system will having matching data input into it
by other agents.
They also learn that they have arranged Docking at the Cloudscape Platforms and are warned that they may want to find a different docking area once they
are on planet. To prevent the Empire from finding their ship to quickly if they draw any attention to themselves.
They also learn that they have several leads they can follow. They learn the data for the project is sent via tight beam transmission. They also learn several
names one is ISB Agent Lesan Dos. As well as CZ-3T6 a protocol droid , as well a Sullustan name Resh.
They then prepare to leave before Varth warns them that even though their credentials will be solid it is again in their best interest to avoid standing out to
much. He then walks out of the Briefing room.
This is when Varth calls them over and says “Senator Organa has enlisted the aid of Tero Reskan as your contact on Coruscant.” he then hands them a
comlink code and tells them the sign/ countersign “We Broke our droid/ I hope you meant to” He makes it very clear that this information is not to be
shared to anyone as Imperial Spies may always be watching.
Taking several Jumps to hide their starting position. They drop out of Hyperspace and are immediately contacted by Imperial Center Control and they are
eventually ordered to approach vector ICAV-7A. AS they approach the space lane their collision sensors begun to blare loudly as an enormous Action IV
bulk freighter drops out of hyperspace and crosses their path at an Odd angle. Thankfully John is able to ram the throttle down and maneuver the old YT-
1300 down and around it at the very last second. Even with his great piloting the strain if the maneuver blows several of the sublight drive couplings
thankfully the crew is able to repair them in flight while they maintain roughly the correct course (Well enough they avoid drawing any attention anyway).
As they are half way in their journey they and every other ship in their sector of space are ordered to halt and clear the lane. As the Star Destroyer
Assiduous drops out of hyperspace and soars by. As it passes by both “Ed” and Samuel feel the presence of the Darkside wash over them and then pass by
as the the ship continues towards the planet.
Once given the all clear they proceed from orbit down into the sky below and begin to weave their way through the infinite cityscape before them just like
the thousands of other speeders and ships in eyesight are doing. After landing at platform CP32L they are confronted by Customs agent Talee and four
Stromtroopers. Glancing over their papers he orders them to disembark as the Troopers sweep the ship. Finding nothing wrong with their ID’s he does
issue them a $1,000 credit fine due to flying a ship around with sublight drives couplings that are faulty and informs them they need to be repaired
promptly before the ship can be moved if they wish to avoid further fines.
They then are able to locate a used airspeeder salesman after paying their docking fees and purchase a use airspeeder registered to “Ed”s current
information in the BoSS. Contacting Tero Reskan via Comlink they set up a time and place to meet up with him after they are able to give the correct
sign/countersign. Deciding to look into ISB Agent Dos first. They are able to figure out after several hours of networking and investigation that Dos likes
to hang out at the Outlander club. (The same club that Obi-Wan and Anakin visited when they chased Zam Wesell a few years before) Exploring the club as
they look for Dos they are able to note several undercover agents keeping an eye on someone over at one of the large view screens and gambling. Kessera
approaches who they believe is “Dos” and after a few well placed distractions by the team she is able to slip into the booth with him and after a few
moments convince “Dos” to “Walk her to her Room”. He then contacts someone across the bar near where Scout is who over hears that the person Kessera
has left with as well as most of the party is actually Dos’s double and they are about to spring their trap on the wrong person.
Letting them know the truth Kessera must now extract herself from the predicament she finds herself in. Sitting in the back of an Airspeeder getting ready
to leave the club behind. All while Scout boldly walks up and confronts Dos and pulling him down to look him in the eyes. (A move that surprised him so
much he didn’t even try to resist). She begins whispering in his ear how pathetic his disguise is and how easy it was to spot him and lure away his double
and protective detail. She then claims to be an agent of the Emperor himself here to punish him for his pathetic attempts. Amazingly enough he believes
every word and even nods when he should while quietly mouthing the word “Hand” over and over again. He even goes far enough to surrender his
encoded comlink for inspection.
Will Kessera and those with her be able to rejoin Scout and “Ed” before Dos realizes this 14 year old in front of him may not be who she claims?
We shall see next session.

Session 21
(Played on 01-30-22)
Scout and “Ed” slip away from Dos giving him one last hard look that leaves him still unsure of who Scout was and they meet up with Kessera at the club
main door as she walks back in with the rest of the party having heard Scout over the comlink let her and them know that the person in the speeder was just
a double and not the right person. Kessera convinced him she had forgotten her bag inside and had to go get it and then would be right back out to join him.
They then all slip out the side door leaving a few very confused and soon to be very very angry ISB Agents in their wake to start combing through security
feeds to locate images of them and begin an investigation to try and capture them by putting out a Capture/Kill order on all of them.
In the meantime having “gotten away” the group continues to investigate by doing some serious networking the next day and greasing the palms of several
shady people to learn all they can. Figuring out that they think CZ-3T6 may be located either at the Imeici Spire (Rumored to be an Imperial facility and
not just another business building) or at the Droid Services facility. They figure it would be better to try and nab him there.
First though they decide they may want to acquire a “Class III Restricted Transponder” for their airspeeder so they can travel outside the airlanes without
attracting as much attention. Locating one takes a bit more Networking and credits but they eventually find a shady dealer down in the lower levels who
has one for sale starting at 30,000 credits. Landing just down the street from the warehouse he is in they begin to haggle on their plan. Eventually coming
up with and discarding several. Before the hit on a stroke of “genius” and with Samuel and “Ed” working together they are able to both Phase and Cloak
Scout who now nearly invisible and able to walk through solid matter to a degree is in Thief heaven and promptly and very smoothly begins to rob people
as she sneaks around the warehouse looking for the transponder. Locating it with the help of James telling her what to look for. She completely evades
detection as she “Pockets” the transponder and then slips back out and into the airspeeder not only having not paid for the transponder but having actually
gained credits. They happily take off in the speeder to go see James who gets to work installing it on the speeder.
(In the meantime having worked out their own deal for the Transponder the two local “businessmen” soon discover that not only is the Transponder gone
but they have both been robbed as well… Both begin accusing the other and a lower level street war breaks out between the rival gangs down there.)
Now equipped with their new Transponder the group decides that Pete, Hammer, Samuel, “Ed” and Scout will head to the Droid Services facility to try and
locate CZ-3T6 or information about him. Landing outside the 70th floor entrance to the Droid service facility they walk into the office to be meet by a
Security Officer who though friendly is clearly armed. Scout emboldened by her recent string of successful cons claims that she and her 3 dads are
interested in purchasing a droid but that first she needs to use the refresher unit. After a quick debate the security officer points her to the room behind his
desk and tells her to be quick. Glancing at the screens as she walks by she doesn’t get anything useful but goes inside hoping to figure out a new plan when
she comes back out. In the meantime her “Dads” make the mistake of asking about CZ-3T6 specifically and the Officer calmly presses the alert button
sending the facility into lockdown instantly locking every door in the place. As he goes for his blaster rifle the “Dads” drop him with a few quick shots and
blow out all the camera’s in the reception area.
Pete quick jumps around the counter to try and get the other door unlocked and promptly fails to stick the landing instead slipping on the liquid quickly
spreading on the floor from the Officer and goes completely down with a load banging of Mandalorian Armor banging against everything on the way
down. Pete takes some bumps and bruises but isn’t seriously hurt other then his pride. Scout realizing she is trapped in the refresher unit is quickly able to
use the various items to jump up and enter the airducts and begins a very long climb up 40 feet of airducts. Back out in the Reception Area red beams
begun to sweep the office from across the street as several snipers begin looking for targets. Hammer and “Ed” both phase through the other door to the
main Warehouse leaving Pete who is just starting to pick himself up and Samuel in the Reception area.
Staying Phased and within range of each other to maintain it. Hammer and “Ed” are promptly shot at by two snipers who just moved into position up on
the catwalk 40’ above them. They quickly take cover behind and even slightly within some of the shipping containers (In “Ed’s” case anyway) in the
warehouse area. Hammer also activates his shield generator. Unable to get a good angle on either of them the Snipers just lay down suppressive fire in the
hopes of hitting something while their buddies down on the floor move into position.
Back out in the reception area Pete searches the guard and finds his keycode cylinder and opens the refresher unit to try and rescue Scout but doesn’t see
her in there anywhere as she is now roughly 20 feet up the airducts and doesn’t hear him call for her due to the air whipping all around her. Pete then ducts
back down as blaster bolts begin to tear up the reception counter he is behind as the Snipers across the street open fire. Samuel who isn’t a fighter ducks
back out of the line of sight into a corner and hides there. Pete then uses the guards code cylinder to unlock the door Hammer and “Ed” had phased through
earlier.
The two snipers on the catwalks continue to try and find targets and provide cover for their buddies moving into position. One of them though leans out a
bit to far trying to get an angle on Hammer and though he didn’t fall he did drop his rifle in his hurry to save himself from doing so. “Ed” phases through a
container and surprises one of the workers on the floor and cuts through him by getting the Drop on him with a mighty swing of his lightsaber showing that
not just Jedi but Krath can also be effective with them. Hammer attempting the same tactic sadly he makes a Critical mistake and gets just out of range of
“Ed’s” ability to keep him phased and becomes solid inside the container just as he was attempting to ambush the guard beside him. He is promptly
slammed downward and through the floor below and out into empty air looking down at a 60 foot fall. But he calmly tries to activate his jetpack and utterly
fails to do so as he plummets down to the ground and sure death only to smash into the ground… or actually surprisingly enough not hitting it as his Shield
that he activated earlier absorbed the massive amount of damage he would have taken and dissipated it before it burned out and dropped him sprawled out
but unharmed on the 69th floor of the facility.
Scout by this time has reached the top of the Airducts and worked her way out onto the catwalk across from the Snipers, where she starts taking a few shots
at the guards also. Pete begins to slowly move up the far ladder also to take up a snipping position of his own using the cargo boxes and stealth as no-one
has seen him at this point. He then fires off several shots killing both snipers up on the catwalks.
Samuel now alone out in the office is able to quickly run outside and hid behind their speeder and locates the 3 snipers across the street and reaches out
with the full power of the Force and grabs all three of them at once and rips them through the windows and out over the chasm below and then drops their
now lifeless bodies far below. He then quickly moves back inside and accesses the computers and begins to wipe them clean of all evidence of the entire
group having been here. Back out in the warehouse though the last guard decides he isn’t getting pad enough for this and runs out the loading dock and
jumps on his patrol bike and zooms off into the night.
Hammer rejoins the party by taking the loading lift up form the floor below and Scout climbs down the ladder to meet up with “Ed” and Pete and they all
search for the droid CZ-3T6 only to discover that he had been removed from the active circuit of the Droid Service pool and permanently assigned to the
Imcee Spire.
Heading back out to the Reception area after also grabbing everything the could from the downed guards they meet up with Samuel who has finished
wiping the surveillance data. They head back out to their speeder and see the flashing lights of two approaching Imperial HSP-10 Airspeeders and several
Surveillance Droids. Jumping inside and firing up the Engines they zoom away from the facility with the Imperials in hot pursuit.
(Will they be able to get away as they fly through the airways of the planet sized city? We shall see.)

Session 22
(Played on 2-27-22)
Seeing the Imperial Airspeeder bearing down upon them the group quickly rushed into their own air-speeder and took off into the sky-lanes of Imperial
Center hoping to lose their pursuers with Hammer at the controls. Zipping in and out of the air-lanes thanks to their “Class III Transponder” marking them
as priority traffic. They shoot through a few blinding beams of light and are distracted enough that they aren’t able to avoid the Laser blasts fired by the
Imperials and it damages their ship causing it to perform poorly due to the hull plating being bent up causing drag to occur. Scout however quickly kicks
the panels free and the again zoom away at full speed as her “Repairs” remove the drag the panels were causing. Moving further away from the initial
pursuer who was distracted and dodged those panels as they fell down towards them. They are able to mix into a Speeder Truck Convey making it’s way up
through the sky-lanes towards orbit. “Ed” then used his ability to do enhanced illusions to assist Hammer by making their speeder appear to be just another
Speeder Truck as they slowed and matched the convoy’s pace blending in for several moments.
The Imperial Airspeeder called in back up as they began to perform a grid search pattern to locate them as soon as they lost them in the convoy. After a few
quick passes the original Imperial Airspeeder spotted them and vectored directly at them. This is when “Ed” folded space around him and jumped over to
the cockpit and killed the pilot and then jumped back to their airspeeder exhausting his remaining Force Energy to do so. Just as that now pilotless
Airspeeder began to turn towards the surface the gunners took one last shot scoring two powerful hits on their airspeeder. Damaging it beyond repair and
Wrecking it. Pete grabbed Samuel and Hammer grabbed Scout and they both ignited their Jetpacks and headed towards the closest rooftop below them.
Just as “Ed” desperate to escape called upon the Darkside to grant him the energy he needed to Fold space once more and reach that same rooftop below
them.
Having seen the exchange of laser fire the other Imperial speeder quickly landed on the rooftop as well and out jumped several elite troopers and a group of
Coruscant Guards. Who quickly open fire on the group. Even as those in the pilotless Imperial airspeeder plummet downward and impact another rooftop
below igniting a large fire in that building. The Rooftop has several large shafts running down the center with bridges over them every 20 stories below.
Running across one of the Rooftop bridges Pete takes cover behind the wreckage of their own airspeeder using it’s mangled smoking frame to do so. He
fires off several quick shots and drops two of the Elite troopers. Hammer also ducks behind a nearby temperature management system and fires off a shot
of his own striking but not dropping the Resilient trooper. As such he placed his second shot almost exactly where his first hit with his rapid fire and drops
him. Scout then runs up to join Pete using the wrecked speeder for cover. The Coruscant Guards then move in on them swinging their stun staffs at first to
try and take them alive while tossing stun grenades at them to soften them up as they close the distance. Even as several more Guards shifted around to
provide covering fire. One of them focusing on “Ed” and hitting him several times with blaster shots to his armor. Wounded and hurt Ed drags himself back
behind cover and keeps his head down. Lucky for him Hammer noticed him getting hit and focused his next barrage of blaster shots on that Guard and
dropped him, keeping “Ed” safe for a bit. In return though Hammer took several shots himself which drove him to have to call on the darkside to survive
them by using it to soak the last shot and resist going unconscious from them.
In the meantime Pete and Scout faced off against several Guards who were now in melee range. Scout planted a ballistic shotgun against the chest of one of
them who only survived several quick blasts because of the balistic armor inside his suit. Amazed to be alive he then attempted to stun and push Scout
down into the deep shaft behind her. Resisting his push she also had to call upon the darkside using her anger and rage to resist his greater strength. Pete
then shot and dropped the two guards facing him and turned to help Scout. She however quickly switched to her vibro-knife and was able to land a well
placed shot between the plates of his armor dropping him.
Hammer turning back from having dropped the guy attacking “Ed” looked at the last guard just as another stun grenade hit near him. Shaking off the
effects he fired another Rapid Fire shot and dropped the last remaining Guard.
They then all limped off towards the Imperial Airspeeder and quickly flew it down several levels into the undercity where they dump it and quickly lose
themselves down below. Eventually they contact Tero Reskan who sends an airspeeder to collect them and return them to their mid-level hotel where they
can finally get some much needed rest. Having learned that they must infiltrate the Imeici Spire if they wish to locate CZ-3T6 or any further information
about the Sarlacc Project. They prepare for the next challenge ahead of them

Nursing their wounds and healing themselves from the wounds they suffered in their escape. They begin to plan how they can access the Spire. They
purchase another airspeeder to replace the one they lost. Then they figure out the best route to enter the building. Debating back and forth on if they should
enter on the ground floor or on the 185th floor. Eventually they do decide to enter on the 185th floor and after everyone is fully healed and rested they leave
their hotel and head out towards the Spire. As they arrive they are hailed by a voice from tower construction control who asks for their permit codes to
land. Not having one they get stuck in a holding pattern around the tower. Eventually they are allowed to land about an hour later.
Landing their airspeeder on level 185 they are directed to a control room to figure out their permit issue and pay the proper fees of course. As they enter the
room they see six techs working the area who aren’t the most friendly by a long shot. After a brief and abrupt conversation that quickly devolved into
hostile negotiations. The group left the corpses of the six techs there as they used Lt. Dos’s code cylinder to access the turbolift and they headed up to level
188. As they stepped out of the turbolift they were faced with several guards who seeing them armed and not having received an arrival alert from the
technicians down below quickly retreated behind the armored doors as they activated the alert sealing the entire group inside the entry chamber and locking
down the turbolifts as well. Then the gas began to fill the chamber.
Thinking quickly “Ed” grabbed Scout and Samuel and he folded space around them to reappear in the observation chamber near by and more importantly
on the otherside of a large window and without any gas inside. Leaving Pete and Hammer to stand there in the gas grateful they had both upgraded their
armor to be sealed. Stuck there briefly they waited to see if “Ed”, Scout or Samuel could get the doors open.
As they looked down the hallway towards the control center. They were faced with three activated energy shields and the two very surprised guards. They
made short work of the guards as “Ed” ignited his Lightsaber and cut them down. Seeing this the remaining guards activated the laser cannons which
dropped out the ceiling and began ti turn towards them. Samuel decided to take a pot shot at one of the guns only to have his shots bounced back by the
shields causing the three of them in that chamber to go rushing for cover. Once the blaster fire died down Scout attempted to throw one of the dead guards
bodies at the shield to no real effect at all. Pete deciding he’s had enough of being stuck in this room decides to shoot the other door and does a good job of
seeing it begin to buckle under his bolts.
Then the gas begins to clear out of the room. Just as “Ed” who has been feeling the Darkside drawing closer and closer and making it harder and harder for
him to access the Force cuts through the door between them, Pete and Hammer. The turbolift opened and out stepped three members of the Inqusitories
who ignited their sabers. Pete suddenly felt himself get hurled towards the now open door like a missile as he slammed into Samuel. Hammer then turned
and fired at the Inqusitor General. Pete and Samuel both fired at them and they succeeded in dropping him before they ducked back out of the way to avoid
the blasterfire from the turrets behind them. Seeing the General go down one of the adepts stopped and slapped a healing kit on him before following his
comrade into the hallway to confront Pete,Scout,Samuel, and “Ed”. They both swung their glowing red sabers dropping Samuel on the spot. Leaving him
to lay there bleeding out they moved deeper into the room as back in the main chamber the General began to stand back up. Even as Hammer blew the
other door open to see a huge squad of Stormtroopers heading their way from inside that room.
Seeing everyone pinned down and the General standing up and preparing to attack Hammer’s “Conviction” he wasn’t going down without taking as many
as he could with him showed true as he clicked it to full auto and he opened up a spray of laserfire on everyone as he swept the room. Catching the two
Adepts by surprise and dropping them he continued to march the blaster fire around over the General dropping him again then turning it through the open
door and targeting several Stormtroopers as well blowing them all apart in the process. He was so focused on firing away he never even noticed the odd
blurry image that shot by him. Jarael encountered “Ed” as they both got to the bodies and Jarael begin destroying their armor and lightsabers. “Ed” then
turned and helped Pete and Scout try and save Samuel’s life as he lay bleeding on the ground. Hammer continued to unload on the remaining
Stormtroopers pinning them down. Even as the rest of the group stabilized Samuel and got him up and moving all be it a bit slow from his wounds.
Jarael and Ed then begin to cut their way through the shields and eventually take out the Blaster Turrets. While they do that, Scout and Pete do a quick
survey of the side rooms and discover a bunch of prisoners all of who are delusional except for a Duros who upon seeing them jumps immediately to his
feet, “Please, you must get me out of here. They are Monsters without pity or compassion. I surely won’t last another week here. We must escape before
the rest of the Inquisitors return to deal with you … and Us” Quickly talking to him, they find out his name is Gelnar Tol and he and the other poor souls
here are all starship designers who have been held prisoners here where the Inquisitors use what he calls “Evil Darkside Powers” to rip data from the
designers’ minds or to turn them into single-minded machines that work on command, unaware of anything else. All to create a new starship some 12
kilometers long that will dwarf even an Imperial-Class Star Destroyer if finished.
As they finish learning all this Hammer drops the last Stormtrooper in the side room. While Jarael and “Ed” cut into the last room only to see CZ-3T6
standing over the bodies of the two Imperial Guards saying very politely in a pleasant voice. “I’m sorry but you should not have tried to stop me from
activating the buildings self destruct.” He then looks up and he almost looks happy as he says “Ah, welcome gentlemen, Unfortunately your to late I’ve
transmitted the last needed files and as I can’t have you learning anymore then you all ready have, I’ve also taken the liberty of having already activated the
Self Destruct. Which by my count should be starting any …..”
They all heard loud rumbling far below them growing ever closer.

CZ-3T6 then stepped backwards into a hidden chamber and sealed the door. With the building beginning to collapse around them and Jarael already having
disappeared somehow. If the Force Cloaked figure even was Jarael. They gather up Gelnar Tol and rushed down the stairs phasing from platform to
platform with the help of Samuel and “Ed” all grabbing as many people as they each could. Reaching level 185 in almost record speed. The only remaining
shuttle in the entire hanger that wasn’t either commandeered or crushed by falling debris
was the Inquisitors Shuttle. Lucky for them their attempt to hack in and start the vessel was surprisingly easy. Which was good for them since even as they
started it the hanger floor fell out from under them. With Pete doing some of the best flying of his life. He avoided hitting to many objects as they used the
antigravity system to cushion their decent. Slowly Pete was able to move the ship closer and closer to the edge of the falling debris. Eventually he reached
the edge and it seemed they would be able to break free. Even as they where struck by a large piece of the building damaging the ship and killing the
engines forcing them to the ground below. Thanks to Pete and his flying they crashed with hardly a bump or a bruise among them. Taking the scientist
Gelnar Tol with them they made their way out of the crashed ship. Only to encounter a group of Imperial Center Guards and Medical Aid workers rushing
up to help them. With some quick talking and a collapsing building beam distracting them they where able to convince the medical team and their guards
that there were more important things to focus on right now then them. Promising to check in with one of the teams on the edge of the debris field.
They then slipped past those teams as well an disappeared into the night as quickly as they could. However as they did so they noticed on several of the
guards datapads that their faces where starting to flash up with an arrest on sight alert. Rightly suspecting that their room has been compromised as well as
their landing area. They contacted Tero Raskan who grateful they are alive quickly comes to pick them up. He informs them that another Resistance
Fighter has already grabbed James and Kessera and gotten them to the Safe House they are heading towards deep in the warehouse district of the works.
Once there they can get transmit any data about the Sarlacc Project that they or Gelnar Tol can provide back to the Resurgence using a pirated Holo-Net
feed. Eventually they hear back that they should stay out of sight and keep their heads down while Captain Verana and Admiral Varth determine the next
course of action.
(End of Episode 6)
The rebel stronghold was really more of a refugee camp than anything, nestled amongst the imperials. Considering they were hiding in in the midst of the
capital world, it was pretty ballsy. They'd gathered up arms and equipment, and here the crew was making ready.
John was working on his bowcaster and armor, and Hammer was helping to train some of the rebels while refueling and reloading all his gear. Seeing these
people reminded him of his own minor rebellion, all those years ago. Looking at himself and his crew now, he could see how much things had changed.
They were on the capital world, acting against the entire Empire, on behalf of the rebellion. Just looking at himself in a mirror, he saw a completely
different person wearing his face.
All they had to do was escape, get t“he information they'd gathered back to the rebellion. They were wanted, and looked to be facing nearly insurmountable
odds. His face grinned back at him crazily at this thought, and he felt pride and anticipation. Today was a good day to die.
Episode VII
A Reckoning of Wraiths
With the taste of victory still sweet upon their tongues, The heroes find refuge
on Coruscant with loyalists. Following the destruction of the Inquisitors’ tower,
the Empire is searching for the culprits with extreme prejudice.
Having spent several days with the loyalists the group has been able to rest and relax a bit and even resupply their armaments borrowing several pieces of
equipment from the loyalist stockpile. Gelnar Tol has settled in well among them also. He shares all he can with Admiral Varth and Captain Verana about
the Sarlacc Project whenever the loyalist are able to hijack the holo-net feed. Eventually they are contacted by Admiral Varth.
“Excellent work. You’ve done quite a job exposing the Sarlacc Project, and you’ve exceeded my expectations. By now, the Inquisitorius is running around
like a swarm of angry Dantari fire ants. You’ve made quite an impression on them, and I doubt they’ll underestimate you again. I know that I won’t. “As
much as we’d like to see you off-planet and out of danger, there is still a need for you to remain on Coruscant for a short while longer. Pavel Trenol, who
had been forced to work as a designer for the Sarlacc Project, has contacted us seeking asylum. Prior to being pressed into duty by the Empire, Trenol was
a weapons technician for Incom. In exchange for help, he’s promised to tell us everything he knows about the offensive capability of the Sarlacc Project.
“It’s only a matter of time before the Empire realizes that Trenol’s body is not among the dead, and they’ll go looking for him. You should leave
immediately and rendezvous with him. I’m providing a current holographic representation of Trenol with this transmission. He’s currently staying in a
flophouse in one of Coruscant’s sublevels—an area known as the Gnawer’s Roost. It’s a bad part of town, so stay on your toes. On the plus side, Imperial
security tends to avoid the place, as they’re none too popular in that region. “Good luck. I will await your signal when you return, and then we’ll see about
getting you back to the Resurgence for some much- deserved downtime.”
Finding a taxi to take them to the Gnawers roost district ends up costing them a hefty fee as the driver charges them a hazard fee for going there. On their
way down to the Roost they eventually notice that the driver seems to be instinctively picking the route through the twisting air-lanes and tunnels that
avoids all the Imperial Checkpoints. Landing a few blocks from the flophouse he wishes them luck. Hammer then pays him a larger fee to wait for them to
return (As long as they do so in the next hour)
As they approach the flophouse they see a group of street thugs harassing the locals who walk by the entrance. The thugs take one look at the party as they
are approaching across the intersection and while pretending not to they all make sure none of them are blocking the parties path into the building in
anyway.
Going inside the group encounters OT-3PO and abused droid who is chained to the ground, to prevent it’s theft or escape or both. The droid excitedly
offers to buy “Ed” finding him to be exotic enough he is sure his owner would wish to own him. Declining the offer they instead bribe the droid to tell
them what room Pavel is in. Going up to the room they find a poorly finished room about 4 meters square, with fraying carpet, peeling wallpaper and a
refresher that smells of mildew. Searching the room they eventually find a scrap of paper and several betting slips from the “Invisible Hand” a local cantina
and gambling room.
As they head out of the flophouse OT-3PO makes one last offer to purchase “Ed” as the rest of the party walks outside “Ed” cuts the droid apart with his
lightsaber. Then walks outside and joins the party on their way to meet their driver who has agreed to meet them a few blocks away.
On their way to meet the driver they cut down some side alley ways and are suddenly aware of a pungent odor just as they are ambushed by ten Ogre’s who
rush at them from the side streets and jump down at them from the rooftops. While the fight is swift and hardly takes the group any time at all “Ed” was
bitten during the scuffle and almost succumbed to the lethal poison they injected into his system. Lucky for him Samuel was able to prevent that and also
remove the poison from his system using the Force.
Meeting up with the driver and telling him about the Ogres inadvertently put them in the good graces of the citizen’s of the Gnawer’s Roost many of whom
have lost friends and relatives to the Ogres as of late as they have grown bolder.
They then make their way to the “Invisible Hand” they head inside and see only a few patrons in the darkness. As their eyes acclimate to the dim light they
see Pavel and a few others in the back of the room. Just as the door slams shut and they see blasters drawn. The bartender and two patrons quickly duck
behind the bar and out of sight. As the other patrons all open fire on them. Pavel who is actually an Inquisitor trainee (who hoped to capture them) named
Tavel Moern springs his trap. Having come to the conclusion their reason for attacking the tower was to free the scientist he had put out the story that Pavel
survived hoping to lure them out. Even with the Darkside as his ally and slamming then all to the ground and his attempt to rend Samuel in half. He simply
wasn’t prepared for the amount of firepower and the skill of the party and they quickly made short work of him and his assassination squad. As he falls to
the ground dying he smiles though and tells them “You may have escaped this trap, but it’s already to late for your seditionist friends and your allies at their
so called safe house!”
With those words in their ears they quickly rush outside hoping to get back in time to save their friends.

Session 25
(Played on 4-10-22)
Worried for their friends they quickly rush back towards the Safehouse. Pete however heads toward the docking bay to find John and inform him what
happened. Only to find every street into the area has been blocked off by Imperial Checkpoints. Deciding they have no time to waste they choose the direct
approach. “Ed” casts an illusion that allows them to all get up to the barrier without being seen. They then open fire on the unsuspecting Troopers at the
checkpoint. Blasting through them quickly they tear down the shield preventing them from moving forward and hurry on to the Safehouse. Sadly they
arrive to late to prevent the attack, They smell the ozone and stench of blaster fire as they reach the floor of the Safehouse. Splitting up and ducking inside
each of the 3 separate apartments as they fear the worse for Kessra who had remained behind there. They quickly go through the bodies and don’t find her
among the dead. Just then Scouts comlink chimes and Kessra begins to inform them that she had left and meet up with John earlier that day when John
informed her their ship had been stolen while he was away briefly. But that they have met up with Pete and located the ship at a Docking area not to far
away. When they went to retrieve it from the bay they had originally landed in it was gone. Thankfully John was able to track it through a beacon he had
hidden on the ship. The only problem was it was completely surrounded by Stormtroopers and they would need help to get to it.
Happy to hear from them both Scout lets them know to stay hidden until they arrive and gets the coordinates from her. Just then Scout hears the sound of
boots outside the apartments in the hallway as well as muffled whispers of “shoot on site”. Deciding to take the risk she puts a shot through the wall about
where she suspects them to be and is surprised to hear her bolt hit the helmet of the trooper on the other side who though shaken recovers and screams
“They know we are here. GO GO GO!” Sadly for them, they thought it was just more insurrectionists inside. They were ill prepared for the grizzled Hero’s
the found inside. As the smoke cleared a few seconds later all they heard was a voice through the com unit of the now dead unit commander asking if they
needed some more back up. “Ed” attempts to convince them everything is okay and no help is needed. When asked for his ID number though he totally
whiffs and uses a unit number that isn’t even assigned to this system. The last thing they hear is the voice on the other end saying to send in several squads
right away before the connection is cut.
Rushing out of the apartments they are able to get away before the reinforcements arrive. Making their way towards the coordinates Kessra gave them.
They come up to a large docking facility and see a large contingent of Troopers already dug in and waiting for them. They also see an AT-AT just beyond
their ship watching over the Starport as well as several other ships. After a quick discussion they actually come up with a plan. “Ed” cloaks them and they
begin to sneak up towards the nearest ship. Trying to get Samuel close enough. Staying as close as they can to “Ed” the plan actually works and they get to
the corner looking out at the Starport. Then one officer notices the weird shimmer of the cloak and opens fire.
Scout quickly shoots a fueling station and it explodes setting off klaxons and alarms but thankfully not the ship it had just finished fueling. As the blaster
fire begins to fly around them. Hammer does the most amazing thing and actually succeeds in throwing a grenade and actually hitting his target clearing
out the nest of troopers behind the barricade in front of them. The AT-AT then swings over and fires its main cannons at both Scout and Samuel who though
targeted are able to both dive for cover and avoid the main blast even as it destroys the duracrete just inches from them. Scout, Hammer and “Ed” begin to
shoot the troopers between them and their ship hoping to clear a path to it. Hammer also sends a signal to Pete, Kessra and John to use the distraction they
have created to get on board the ship whenever they can.
Samuel then reaches out with the Force and in a display of sheer power and control he picks the AT-AT up of the ground and begins to turn it away from
them twisting the metal frame to force the guns off of them. John, Pete and Kessra take this chance to slip onboard and get the engines started. Seeing the
Troopers on board begin to descend on the gantry he then flips it down onto it’s side causing them to be flung around and hurtled to the ground where most
while still alive are knocked unconscious by the sheer impact. Seeing the path ahead of them is clear “Ed” reaches out and grabs everyone and he Folds
Space around them putting them just outside the ships entry ramp. Looking over at the other side of the Starport they see another AT-AT dropping off it’s
troops and beginning to turn their way. Scout and Hammer open fire on several more troopers before rushing up the ramp almost running over “Ed” who is
casually walking up it himself. Moving slowly up the Ramp himself soon after is Samuel who using the last remaining ounces of his energy begins to move
the AT-AT he has floating over and around between them and the one that is now approaching them. He uses the floating one almost like a shield as the
ramp closes and they lift off he lets it go and it crashes down towards the ground even as they slip out from under it and turn to take off from the Starport.
Small arms blaster fire bouncing off their armor mere seconds before their shields snap into place and they hope that the shields can take any shots that
remaining AT-AT can get off before they get clear and head towards orbit.

Lucky for them the AT-AT isn’t able to get a clear line of fire on them before they get out of range as the point their ship up towards the atmosphere. Pete is
surprised by how easy their escape was and suggests they may want to do a quick examination of the ship while he gets them to orbit. “Ed” uses the Force
to plot them a course through hyperspace that isn’t commonly used to try and avoid the hyperspace lanes as much as possible. While Scout and Hammer
search the ship. Eventually they find a detonite charge connected to the hyperdrive set to explode when they try to enter hyperspace designed to destroy the
hyperdrive disabling it. They spend a few quick rounds to disconnect it. Then do another search and locate several tracking devices. Which they toss out
the airlocks just as they make orbit. They detect several incoming TIE fighters and Pete notes that their path to orbit has been subtly cleared and the
fighters are taking an intercept route that would make them reach them just after they make the hyperspace jump instead of before.
“ED” completes his meditation and inputs the information into the navi-computer and gives Pete the all clear and they make the leap to hyperspace just as
the TIE’s start to open fire. While in Hyperspace they receive some much needed medical attention and rest.

FUCKING AT-ATs. Not one, but two, and a whole battalion of Storm Troopers, those red bastards, and E-Web emplacements. That brought nearly
everything! And... once again, he'd gotten out unscathed. He couldn't say that about everyone in his crew, but they'd all made it, with only Scout and Sam
receiving any fire. They were okay now, though it had been close.
It had actually been, for Hammer, a bit of a nothing affair. All the fire had gone around him, had been aimed at his crew, or had missed for one reason or
another. He hadn't done anything extra, simply walked through fire while blasting away. The cloak had helped, of course, and his wondrous crew of crazy
sons of bitches. It had been exhilarating, frightening, and oddly... emotional.
He was growing attached to this crew, despite all the dangers and questionable pasts. Every last one of them had a set of brass balls on 'em that chimed
when they walked. They'd done things that seemed impossible, over and over again, digging each other out of one scrap and then another, ad infinitum, for
what seemed to be most of his life. They were living hard and they were sticking it to the Imperium like he never thought he could.
As he flipped his blaster pistols about in a relaxing pattern and holstered them, Hammer started to really take stock of his crew and it made him smile.
Sure, he had some questions and quibbles about Ed, but the midget seemed solid in a fight, even if he was a bit cuckoo in the databox. Scout seemed to fire
up some kind of big brother instinct in him, but she was good. He'd rather she wasn't so young and foolish, but he could hardly be the one to chastise her
for it. Besides, she was fun. He'd have to stock up on some sweets for her. Some because she was psychotic about it, but also because... well, he wasn't
sure.
He had to talk to John about getting some more work done on his gear. It was time to really punch things up a notch before things started to get real hot. He
had a feeling that things were only going to get more exciting. He had to break out his new tricks, soon. And that meant... a bit of shopping. Can't have the
others thinking he was slacking off in the daring-do department.
--End Interlude--
After two and a half days travel they hear the alert to drop back into realspace and they pull the lever. Hyperspace gives way to a dramatic scene: a number
of ships on the horizon, including the Resurgence, are trading turbolaser fire. Orange explosions can be seen surrounding the capital ships, signs of
starfighter combat that is too far away to make out clearly. Two Star Destroyers on the edge of their effective range send out countless turbolaser blasts.
The blasts are aimed primarily at the remaining Corellian Corvette but also at the Resurgence and the other ships under her protection.
While the Resurgence stands her ground, directing her own turbolaser blasts back at the Imperial Ships, the other ships in the loyalist flotilla move away in
an attempt to escape the melee. A flash of light followed by a large ball of fire and debris marks the violent end of a Gallofree transport.
Their communications crackle to life suddenly, and the voice of Captain Verana greets you:
“Your to late,” he says “They’ve got us right where they want us. It’d be suicide for you to stay, but we’re running out of options. All but a few escape pods
have been jettisoned, and our shields are about to buckle. Mind if we hitch a ride with you?”
Then the voice of a nervous crewman cuts into the conversation from the background. “Sir! We’ve got reports of Imperial troops on board!”
Verana curses. “On second thought, you guys might be better off ----” An intense hiss of static ends the transmission.
The group decides to land their transport and go rescue the Captain and get their own ship back. Matching the velocity and angle of the ship with some
impressive piloting they slid into the far hanger bay using the Resurgence as cover from the Imperials on the far side.
They then make their way towards the bridge and the direction of the other hanger where the Clown Car is located. As they get near the bridge they hear
the distinctive sound of blaster fire up ahead. Peering around the corner they see the bridge access corridor with the bodies of fallen crew and
stormtroopers. From the looks of things, the crew attempted to evacuate using the two escape pods in the corridor but were instead were bottled up and cut
off here by a squad of stormtroopers led by an Imperial Officer.
“All right Verana,” the officer yells over a sustained burst of fire. “This is your last chance! Surrender!”
Verana’s voice answers back, somewhat pained, “Go to Hell!”
“Have it your way!” the Imperial officer answers before turning to the trooper next to him. “Go on in, Sergeant. Take no prisoners”
Hearing the heavy boots of the troopers heading inside the crew joined the fray by running down the hall and turning into the main corridor. Looking ahead
of them they see several troopers heading into the Command Deck. Opening fire on them as the troopers take cover in the side rooms. Hammer uses his
cybernetic leg enhancements to good measure and blows by everyone to reach the command deck before anyone else. Once inside he encounters 3 troopers
dressed in slightly different armor.
Scout and Pete take on the troopers out in the hallways but don’t locate the Imperial officer who had ducked into the Security room down the hall from
where he was yelling and begins hacking into the computers there.
“Ed” on the other hand, folds space around himself and reappears in the command deck next to the crew and Captain Verana and looks around quickly
before raising an illusion around them all to hide them from view making it appear they are now gone. He then looks at Verana who is clutching his
signature sporting blaster painfully in his hand, and has a crimson stain slowly spreading across his chest, “Ed” quickly realizes he has been shot.
While Scout and Pete work on the troopers in the hallway outside Hammer faces off against the ones inside the room he quickly drops the two heavy
troopers and then directs his fire towards the rest only to have his hands seemingly jerk away redirecting his fire and causing him to miss all of them. As he
curses and mutters he watches as one calmly presses the turbolift door open behind him and then Hammer is lifted and tossed inside by an overwhelming
energy and he is sent down to the floor below. The other two open fire on the crew around “Ed and the Captain again as if the Illusion has had no effect on
them. Killing the rest of the crew in a hail of blaster fire.
Pete and Scout make it to the command deck and Pete steps up to the three troopers just as “Ed” summons the last of his energy and even reaches out for
the Darkside to fold space one last time to get himself and the Captain back to the hallway near the escape pods. He sends this information over the coms
unaware that the Imperial officer has been able to hack into the security room computers and can now hear their coms.
Pete then swings his vibro axe and begins cutting down all three troopers in a series of Wild Attacks crushing them all with no real difficulty.
Even as Hammer feels his turbolift lock into place and secure itself (That darn Imp officer was being a nuisance again) Blasting the roof off the lift he used
his jetpack to fly back up to the correct floor and thanks to Scout opening the door for him he walked out just in time to see Scout walking back down the
hallway to meet up with Pete who had all ready left the room. Leaving Hammer wondering how she had killed all three of them herself.
Just then the Imperial Officer opened the the doors to the escape pod hatches and then jettisoned them leaving the hatches open causes them all to have to
fight with all their strength to resist the pull of air sweeping past them towards the vacuum of outer space beyond. Fighting their way into the main corridor
they were able to seal the door and relax for a quick second.
Looking at Verana who is wounded he stands up and coughs and says “I’ve got some bad news, We’ve had a report that Master Denia was taken prisoner
by the Inquisitorius.”
The Captain lets the news sink in for a moment.
“If you think you can make it, get to the landing bay at once. You might be able to stop the Inquisitorius before they can get her off the Resurgence. I’ll
gather whatever crew I can and we will head towards the transport you landed with and we will meet up with you later, if the Force wills it”

As they rush towards the Hanger bay where their ship is as well as the two imperial shuttles and hopefully Master Denia as well. The Resurgence continues
to receive occasional Turbolaser hits from the Star Destroyers and it becomes clear that the ship needs to be abandoned. Just as they round the corner
heading to the bank of Turbolifts that will hopefully take them to the hanger bay a few floors above them, they hear the loud distinctive sound of several
troopers marching. Glancing around the corner quickly Hammer lets the group know that several Stormtroopers and 3 Inquisitors are moving several
Republic soldiers as prisoners towards the Turbolifts. He then steps out and opens fire shooting down one of the Inquisitors before they could even react
and two of the Stormtroopers beside him, all as Hammer runs over to the far-side of the Corridor to take cover behind the other corner.
His attack is quickly followed by John shooting down the hallway and easily dropping several of the other Troopers as well who seemed to be almost
yanked in front of the last Inquisitor that he was actually aiming for.
Scout opens the door nearby intending to sneak around and sees a trooper ducked into the doorway leading out into the other corner trying to shoot
Hammer and John. Who she calmly shoots in the Head as both Pete and “Ed” rush by heading across the room to attempt to outflank the last Inquisitor and
Trooper.
Just as the last Inquisitor suddenly zoomed down the hallway with a Surge of speed and appeared between Hammer and John with his Lightsaber glowing
a bright red as he glared at them both with hatred in his eyes. He swung it downward at John intent on killing him when suddenly the ship was hit by
turbolaser fire again and he stumbled and dropped his saber, while trying to recover his balance.
Hammer and John both level off their blasters and the last Inquisitor drops to the ground.
The last trooper seeing him drop considers a strategic withdraw even as a Blaster shot zips through him and he falls to the ground as well.
The group then directs the now freed prisoners to rush back down the hallway to the hanger bay behind them and join Captain Verana on that transport and
take off for safety.
They all quickly pile into the two turbolifts and ride them up several floors (thankful that they still work). As the doors open and the enter the Hanger bay
they see two Imperial shuttles and their ship sitting in the hanger-bay surrounded by several Imperial troops. With the black expanse of space visible
through the shielded opening behind them. Multicolored flashes of light flicker across the star-field, signs of the space battle that continues to rage outside.
A number of individuals many dressed in the red and black of the Inquisitorius, scurry about as prisoners are escorted at gunpoint aboard the first shuttle.
They notice the familiar figure of – Master Denia – among the prisoners. She spars a fleeting glance over her shoulder in their direction before
disappearing into the shuttles interior with the rest of the captives.
Before they can even react, they also see a second figure, that also seems familiar to them, Who turns to face them. Inquisitor Valin Draco, his features
marred by a black metallic faceplate with a single red optic, meets their gaze. He makes a dismissive gesture, then hurriedly boards the shuttle as the
boarding ramp closes and it lifts off.
Even as an E-web opens up on them pinning them inside they rooms they are in with suppressive fire. Followed by the rest of the Troopers opening fire as
well as several Inquisitorius guards rushing into the rooms with them. Hammer quickly shoots out to grapple lines ensnaring the two guards who rushed
into the room he was in and activates his Jetpack and rushes out into the room dragging them both back out of the room. The two Inquisitors calmly walk
up and close the doors between them and the others and disable the locks as everyone else watches him fly by. They then all turn to open fire on Hammer
who is now all alone. Suddenly “Ed” having regained a bit of strength again folds space around him and tells Hammer to hang on as he lowers the Force
field and opens the entire hanger-bay to the vacuum of Space. Hammer locks himself into place around the shuttle and hangs on as his sealed armor begins
to pump him oxygen despite the vacuum that surrounds him now. He watches as everyone else in the hanger-bay is swept outside. The field then snaps
back into place. Even as John kicks the guard who was in the room with him into the Turbolift and shoots him while slapping the door closed. He feels the
explosions rush over him as the guards self destruct goes off when he dies, As he planned though the blast was blunted enough by the door that John is able
to avoid being harmed by it even in such a small area.
They quickly work together to get the doors open. Pete and Scout rush into the supply room and randomly grab a cargo container and shove it towards the
Clown car as everyone else watches “Ed” happily dragging a command chair from the control room up the ramp for some unknown reason. The
Resurgence is again hit by Turbolaser fire from the Destroyers outside and the crew decides it’s time to get out of here.
Looking around them they see the Transport they brought here also lift off. Sadly the once proud seeming Rebel fleet is now in shambles any ships not
destroyed already are either limping away with Tie Fighters in pursuit or have already been forced to flee to hyperspace. After sending Captain Verana
some coordinates to meet up at later. John begins to input their own jump to hyperspace.
Just as he does so, There is a crackle of static as they are hailed by one of the Imperial Star Destroyers. The image flickers and stabilizes, revealing the
image of Admiral Varth dressed in an immaculate Imperial Navy uniform.
“It seems as if I didn't give you enough credit for being resourceful”, Varth says, his eyes betraying a hint of respect, “But now the time for deception has
ended. Despite your persistence, as well as your luck, you just admit that you are outmatched. Shut down your engines and prepare to be boarded”.
Realizing that Varth has been a traitor this whole time as he pretended to have defected to their side and is no doubt responsible for much of the destruction
around them. They open up with some less then polite words to which Varth just shakes his head and signals for the connection to be cut as he disappears
in a puff of static.
Making the jump to hyperspace, they wait a few days and then meet up with Captain Verana at the coordinates they gave him, instead of using any
predetermined spots that Varth may have known about. With what remains of the Rebel Fleet. There they take a few days to take stock of all that has
happened. Scout also finds out that the cargo container her and Pete loaded onto the ship was filled with an entire stores worth of Candy.
They then change all of their communication codes and tell Captain Verana they will report the tragic news to Bail Organa concerning all that has occurred.
They then leave the remains of the fleet and make the jump towards Alderaan. Organa meets with them personally, congratulating each of them on a job
well done despite the odds that were against them and the price that was paid. Taking the information they were able to gather on Imperial Center and
sending it to his researchers.
Once everyone is together he says “ We have paid a heavy price for the information you’ve managed to gather. We’ve also learned, unfortunately, that we
have been tricked – Betrayed. Some of you might be asking yourselves: Is it worth the cost?
I can’t answer that question, Not yet, in any case. What I do know is that I am still determined to see Palpantine’s regime toppled, and any knowledge we
have of his plots and plans will ultimately be of some use to us.
As to those friends and allies we’ve lost, they will not be forgotten. Denia will be found, I promise, and when she is … When she is, you’ll be there to
bring her back from the brink. Until then, we will stay the course.”
He then departs and they see him stop and talk briefly with someone who seemed to appear out of thin air next to him. A few of them recognize Jerael,
Then Organa and Jerael continue down the hallway, leaving them to their own thoughts.

What a mess. Everything was turned topsy turvy, and for all their effort, they were left with a huge loss. It was time to step things up. Time to get lean,
work hard, and really get into the work. First up, it was time to trim his gear down. He'd been carrying every knick-knack possible, and now it was time to
trim the load. It was slowing him down. He didn't need every damn gun in his locker with him at all times. It was also time to upgrade and get serious. He
had several consultations with John, and he was ready to get at it.
While he was waiting for John to finish with his pile of upgraded gear, Hammer spent time training himself, spending more time training and working over
his skills. Before he thought possible, John brought him all of his gear, and it was time to go over it.
First, his new sidearms, Malleus & Caedes. Custom pieces based on the Wookie Bowcaster. The pulse chamber and capacitors along with the new feeding
and cycling mechanisms seamlessly integrated into the brutish lines. It was art, but abrupt and savage looking, like a charging Reek stuffed into a
crossbow, all curves and abrupt angles, huffing indignantly that it wasn't crashing through enemies. He flipped them around, a game he played with his
sidearms when bored sometimes, getting a feel for their balance and feel. He couldn't help but smile.
His armor reconstructed, now with consistent layers of powered armor. He'd added another internal generator to the inner layer to power the rest and boost
his shield generator. The shield generator was as it always was, but now sitting in the reinforced armor shell of the heavy powered battle armor. His
jetpack, now better integrated and came with a few new tricks, including mounting his concealed rail detonator. He had come to enjoy the rail systems with
his sidearm, the new piece seemed appropriate and gave him some versatility.
The other more minor upgrades were simple enough. His modified needler and DX2 were secreted about his person in the usual manner. He carried only a
few grenades now, and he'd reduced his overall footprint by removing all extraneous gear.
He was lean and ready, his exterior reflecting his inner being better. He found this good, a far cry from his wild past. He realized now that he'd often
survived due to skill and luck. He still had those, but now he had backups for when luck ran out. Having surrounded himself with people that were, if not
good, certainly trustworthy. Battle proven. Where skill, luck, and backups hadn't worked out, his allies had. He needed to persevere. Fighting the empire
was his calling, and he never wanted it to end until the Empire was dust and a memory.

Switch tells the group that he will be sending someone to give them supplies, once they arrive to the coordinates. Scout then brings up the topic
of payment, after a few back and forths, Switch says his maximum payment to the group (5000 credits and refilling their ship). Scout, being a little too
greedy, presses for more credits, then Switch disconnects the call. The group then prepares for take off, easily getting into hyperspace, and arriving pretty
close to their destination. However, their destination is in the middle of an astroid field. After getting to their stations, with Hammer & Pete on guns,
Lindsay & John on ship controls, seemingly no one can find Jarael...
Once they are out of the astroid field, they don't seem to find anything out of the ordinary, a few minutes pass and Jarael grabs the ships radar,
and although he doesn't know how to use it, the radar is still able to pick up a massive ship headed in their direction. Looking at the size and shape of the
ship, they determine it is a Venator-class Star Destroyer. Oh, and the Venator is completely unable to move, as it is hurling towards them in a massive
astroid. Reorienting themselves to the astroid, they see there's a Vulture Star Fighter that pulls up behind them. A message appears on the ships translator
device "Switch sent me. Please Follow." The Vulture flys into an intact docking bay on the Venator, and releases a gravity generator that will allow the
group to traverse the Venator. The Vulture tells the group that he will be the pickup person for the package, and once they find it to give it to him. The
Vulture then releases a Viper droid and sets up the generator. Jarael, Hammer, & Pete then debate that taking the droid out would be the best case scenario,
due to the possibility the droid could disconnect the generator at any point. Seeing how John & Kessra are staying on the ship, Sam convinces the group to
press on.
Exiting the ship, they walk down a long cooridor and are faced with going left to a large open room, or right to a door. Pete exclaims "Always
go left!", the group walks into the large room, meeting face-to-face with several droids and turrets, however they are all deactivated. Pete and Jarael walk
back to the door and debate opening it. Pete goes to opent the door and Jarael quickly smacks his hand away. Meanwhile, Scout, throws a grenade at the
droids, knocking one down, and damaging several others. Pete then runs back towards the droids, deciding to climb up to destroy the turrets, allowing him
to destroy 1 of the turrets. The door that Jarael is still standing at, opens up, Jarael takes a quick look inside, seeing 3 people hiding behind storage
containers and a protocol droid, that is coming towards him. The protocol droid, walks past Jarael, toward the droid room... And Jarael decides to kill-first
and ask questions later, cutting off the defenseless protocol droid's head. As the droid falls to the floor, Jarael feels as though something is trying to take
over his mind, he fights it off and decides to open the door.
Pete is able to destroy one more of the turrets with his axe, however in doing so, he activates all of the droids in the room, as the droids awaken,
the people in the other room start shooting at Jarael. Jarael is able to deflect one of the shots back at them. Meanwhile, Scout & Hammer take out 9 of the
droids and Pete jumps in an amazing leap, right on top of the last droid, destroying it with his axe!
Official Session Droid Kill Count: Hammer: 7 -- Pete: 3 -- Scout: 2 -- Jarael: 1 -- Sam: 0
Jarael, having two more to deal with, cuts down the first and Sam is able to take out the second one from down the hallway. The group then
starts looking around, not being able to "feel" anything, looking down the last few hallways, they find nothing but rubble. Jarael, takes the droid around the
corner from everyone else, searching it, and is able to find a hidden compartment, as he open the compartment and takes out an object, he once again feels
as though something is reaching into his mind. He drops the object, and quickly stabs the object with his lightsaber and promptly closes the compartment
as Sam walks around the corner but doesn't notice the red dust around Jarael. They are also able to find a crashed Citadel-Class Cruiser, inside a bound
Ardennian Smuggler who wishes to join the group.
The group walks back and calls Switch, letting him know he had bad intel and nothing was found. Jarael asks about the potential buyers of the
package and gets the location of the them from Switch. They pack up what gear was found, and head out.
Kessera takes a few moments over a drink to contemplate what has happened over the last few years. Kessera has found a way to support the Rebellion
and use her unique skill set. The rebellion is chronically short of weapons so Kessera negotiates with unsavory individuals to buy/trade/steal weapons,
ammo, and other critical supplies for the Rebellion. She is either a Freedom Fighter or as the Empire sees it a gunrunner for terrorists.
Kessera used her contacts from her trading days, her time as a smuggler/pirate, and her time working for Darga the Hutt to good effect. She knows a least
a few people in every shady operation in this part of the galaxy.
She is one of the Rebellion's best gunrunner. Usually, the deal goes off without too much trouble and when there is trouble Pete is usually able to keep
everyone in line. Because Kessera gets results no one looks too closely at the books. Its dangerous work her and Pete need to be compensated.
Kessera knows she and Pete are in a tough spot and need a bug-out plan which is expensive. She has “saved” a fair bit and should be able to lay low. She
has talked to Pete about leaving, but damn Pete he is loyal to his friends. Plus at this point, Pete really hates the empire. Especially since hearing the news
about Mandalore. Too be honest, which is hard for Kessera, she likes the money and the thrill.
Her musing ends when she hears Pete asking her if that is the contact they are supposed to meet. They are here on business. Word is someone might have
a line on a whole lot of Clone War Separatist weapons.
Pete looks over at the scruffy dude talking to Kessera. He is both alert for danger and bored. Just a motion of his head stops those two other guys from
doing something stupid.
Kessera is good though she uses words like Pete uses his Axe. It’s almost like watching a fight hearing her talk. Although it's not a fair fight. Now even
Hutts have trouble negotiating with Kessera.
No surprise this guy doesn’t know where these weapons are he knows where the people who know where they might be are at. While he knows where they
are at right now, time is running out. Super helpful.
Hmm sounds like some of the Separatists were cagy and hid away many weapons and supplies in case of some catastrophe. Some of the Separatist
weapons were of top quality and this sounds like prime stock. If these numbers are even a quarter close this could really fit out a solid force.
Of course, there is a catch always a catch. This guy needs our help, my help with some loan sharks. So we are going to have to take care of his financial
issue. While our friends take the Clown Car and run down this Weapons lead.
