Nowadays, most people share the view that teenagers are not as independent as they
should be, but, how can they improve their independence?
Firstly, it is undeniable that some youngsters are not allowed to choose their own
entertainment because of their parents, but the possibility of choosing how they enjoy their
free time develops their independence.
Secondly, having their own money is also an important point to consider. Young people can
earn money from part-time jobs apart from receiving pocket money from their parents, who
normally control more how they use it.
Finally, being allowed to meet with their friends more should be mentioned because it can
also make teens more independent apart from developing their social abilities.
In conclusion, from my point of view, those three examples illustrate how teenagers can
become more independent. I personally think that teenager's need that in order to improve
their future lives.

had been studying maths for the last two weeks
Firstly, I'd start thinking about how many of your friends had chosen each activity apart from
which one is going to help you more in your future. And have you thought about how much
time it'll take you to study each one? Maybe you need less time to study geography than
history.
Secondly, if I were you I personally would choose geography because I can’t stand history
but in your email you mentioned that you love both subjects so you should just think about
what I've mentioned before. I'm sure that you will choose correctly!
