(or clauses) together :)

Matheus: There are different types of connectives: the ones that indicate the addition of an idea (the
ones we will talk about), some show results or consequences, others contrast or contradiction,
others explain concession and some others indicate causes.

Kaua: Now…when does one uses these connectives? Generally, these connectives are used when
adding an idea to a clause, phrase or another similar idea. As well as to introduce a piece of
information that adds to or supports the previous statement.

ZZ: Where should it be in a sentence?

ZZ: These conectors should be placed, most of the time, after the first idea has been presented and
before the next one. For example:
It is a dull place during mid-year vacations and, moreover, a hot one.
Peter really likes tigers and lions.

ZZ: They also can be placed in the beginning of a sentence with 2 different topics, and followed by a
noun or a verb ending in ING. For example:
As well as singing, I really like dancing.
In addition to basketball, I'm very good at volleyball.
