Write about the following topics.... Why?
In this activity, you will have to write about the following 10 situations and explain only 2 reasons
for your answer.
1. A place where you have spent the best memories in your life.
Puerto Vallarta is one of the places where I have had great moments because it was the first time I
went away with my boyfriend and there we swam with dolphins. Additionally, it was the first time I
flew.
2. A person whose academic performance is remarkable and you admire.
I admire Miss Karina Avila, who was my biology and chemistry teacher at high school. I admire her
because she knew a lot of these subjects, and she was a very well-prepared teacher since she had
excellent ways to teach and explain the topics. She even participated in congresses about teaching
science.
3. The reason why you study English.
I study English, first, because it is a requirement to obtain my degree and, second, it is necessary to
be competent as a freelance or as a memeber of a personnel in a company.
4. The place where you usually spend Christmas.
I usually spend time either at home or in one of my uncles’ houses, who live near my place,
because we love to spend that time together as a family and as it is a good way not to spend too
much money in restaurants those days.
5. The people who always call you on your birthday, regardless.
I think there are two kinds of people who call me or text me on my birthday, the first ones are
those who really want to wish me happy birthay because they care of me and love me, and the
others who do it as they feel obligated because of politeness since they see I post birthday images
on my states on FB or Whatsapp.
6. You 'd love to have at least 2 kids in the future, wouldn't you?
No, I wouldn’t like to have 2 children, I would be fine with one because life has become very
expensive and I would like to offer him/her a adequate childhood. Besides that, I I won’t have
enough time to pay attention to more than one child as I will work.
7. You shouldn't judge a person by his/her appearance, should you?
We shouldn’t do that because we don’t know how interesting, cool, or nice that person is, we will
learn about that when we have treat him/her long enough. Apart from that, we don’t know about
his/her personal history to know why he/she has that appeareance.
8. Your teacher speaks good English, doesn't he?
Yes, he does. that is why UNAM hired him to teach students in its language center. In addition, he
always speaks English in class which proves his proficiency, a few people are able to give a whole
class in English.
9. You used to be a trouble maker at school when a child, didn't you?
No, I din’t use to cause problems at school because I didn’t want my teacher called my mom school
to tel her I did something bad. I think I was obiedent because I hated feeling guilty because of
something bad I did.
10. You have been to other continents, haven't you?
No, I haven’t even left my own country. Although I would like to visit many countries around the
world, I haven’t been able because I can’t afford it, it is too expensive for me to travel abroad. And
as a student, I have’t had enough time because I need to attend class
