NOTIFICATION
In exercise ofthe powers conferred by Clause (u) of Sub-Section (I) of Section (2) of the Bharatiya
Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (Central Act No.46 of 2023), the Government of Kamataka hereby
declares that with effect from the date of publication in the Official Gazette, that the areas and places
specified in column (3) of the schedule below, shall be included within the jurisdiction of the Police
Stations specified in column (2) thereof.

Note: (I) The Police Stations specified in Column (2) of the Schedule, shall have the powers in their
respective jurisdiction to enforce the following Acts, namely:-
(a) The Protection of Civil Rights Act, 1955 (Central Act No.22 of 1955);
(b) The Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 (Central Act No. 33
of I 989); and
(c) The Karnataka Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes (Reservation of
Appointments etc.) Act, 1990 (Kamataka Act No.07 of 1991).

(2) The Police Stations specified in column (2) of the schedule, shall also have the jurisdiction over any
other cases entrusted by order, to the Directorate of Civil Rights Enforcement (DCRE) by the State
Government or DG & IGP (HoPF) as the case may be.
