• Monitoring and controlling access to the building, including verifying the identity of visitors, checking
credentials, and ensuring only authorized individuals enter the premises.
• Acting as the first responder in emergency situations such as fires, medical emergencies, or security
breaches. Security guards may be responsible for initiating emergency procedures, evacuating
occupants if necessary, and coordinating with emergency services.
• Documenting any incidents, observations, or security breaches that occur during their shift, including
writing detailed reports and maintaining accurate records for future reference and investigation.
• Conducting security checks of doors, windows, and other access points to ensure they are properly
secured, as well as monitoring for signs of unauthorized entry or tampering.
• Responding promptly to alarms, such as intrusion alarms or fire alarms, investigating the cause, and
taking appropriate action to mitigate any potential threats or hazards.
