Title : Tropical Paradise Cocktail


Grade Level: Primary 5
Duration: 80 minutes
Main Topic: Tropical Paradise Cocktail
Objective:
• Students will learn how to prepare a non-alcoholic Tropical Paradise Cocktail.
• Students will understand the importance of following a recipe.
• Students will develop basic motor skills through measuring, mixing, and pouring
ingredients.
Materials Needed:
• Tropical fruit juice (pineapple, orange, mango) : pineapple (1 kg), orange (1kg),
mango (1kg)
• Grenadine syrup : 1 btl
• Coconut milk : 1 carton
• Ice cubes : 2 kg
• Fruit garnishes (e.g., cherries, pineapple slices) : @cherries (we change watermelon) 1
kg, pineapple 1 kg
• Chia seeds : 1 cup
Tools Needed:
• Measuring cups and spoons : @cup 20 pcs, spoons 20 pcs
• Mixing pitcher : 2 set
• Stirring spoon : 20 pcs
• Glasses for serving : 20 pcs
• Cutting board and knife (for garnishes) : @20 pcs
• Blender (optional for smoother texture) : 2 set
Motoric Goals:
• Enhance fine motor skills by measuring and pouring liquids.
• Develop hand-eye coordination through garnishing and stirring.
Lesson Structure:
1. Introduction (10 minutes):
o Discuss the concept of a tropical cocktail and its ingredients.
o Explain the day's recipe and demonstrate the steps.
2. Preparation (15 minutes):
o Distribute ingredients and tools to each student group.
o Ensure all students wash their hands before starting.
3. Activity (40 minutes):
o Guide students through measuring and mixing the juices.
o Demonstrate how to layer grenadine at the base and top with coconut milk.
o Allow students to garnish their drinks creatively.
4. Tasting and Feedback (10 minutes):
o Let students taste their creations.
o Encourage them to share feedback and discuss the flavors.
5. Cleanup (5 minutes):
o Students clean their workstations and return tools.
Instructions:
1. Pour equal parts of pineapple, orange, and mango juice into the mixing pitcher.
2. Stir the mixture gently.
3. Fill each glass halfway with the juice mixture.
4. Add a splash of grenadine syrup gently to create a layered effect.
5. Top with a splash of coconut milk.
6. Add ice cubes and garnish with fruit.
