Hyundai and Daimler faced a challenging third quarter, with Hyundai posting a
profit of $213 million, reflecting a 38% decline year-over-year. Daimler, however,
reported a staggering loss of $1.5 billion, far worse than analysts anticipated.
Both companies cited supply chain disruptions and rising material costs as key
factors impacting their performance. Despite the downturn, Hyundai remains
focused on electric vehicle innovation, while Daimler plans to streamline
operations to improve efficiency. The automotive sector continues to navigate
turbulent waters, underscoring the ongoing volatility across secondary industries.
