LEARNING STANDARD: 1.1.11 Make a hypothesis by making a general statement that can be tested based on the
relationship between the variables in the investigations.
1.1.12 Experiment by using the basic science process skiils to collect and interpret data, summarise
to prove the hypothesis and write a report.
LEARNING OBJECTIVE: Pupils are able to :
SUCCESS CRITERIA: 1. Pupils will be able to identify the skills of the science process skills in conducting the investigation
TEACHING : Activity 1. Pupils are divide into 5 group. Each group is required to copy the format of the experiment report
ACTIVITIES : 1 shown on the board. (TB PAGE 19)
2. Pupils write experimental reports in science practice books.
: Activity 1. In the same group, pupils are given 3 beaker, 3 spoons of sugar, 300 ml warm water, stopwatch
2 and glass rod.
2. 100 ml of warm water was poured into each beaker : A,B,and C
3. One spoon of sugar was added into each beaker.
4. Beaker A was stirred once per minute. Beaker B was stirred three times per minute. Beaker C was
stirred six times per minute. The time taken for the sugar to dissolve completely in each beaker
was recorded.
5. The observation was recorded in a table taht has the information about the manipulated variable
and the responding variable.
: Activity 1. Pupils was explained with the science process skills they want to learn once the experiment is
3 complete.
2. Pupils complete all 2 weeks of science process skills using circle maps.

TEACHING : Activity 1. Pupils will be presented with basic tools in the science classroom such as glass bottle, jar, cloth

2. Pupils will try to predict what activities they will be performing today based on the tools presenty
by the teacher,
: Activity 1. Pupils are divided into 5 groups. Pupils are instructed to move to the Garden school after hearing
2 instructions from the teacher. (Field Trip TB page 17)
2. Each group need to capture dragonfly in the Science Garden using a net.
3. Pupils put the dragonfly in the jar and cover it using a cloth with holes.
4. After that, pupils observe the dragonfly using a hand lense and sketch it in the science exercise
book.
5. The pupils restores the equipment to its original place and release the dragonfly back to Science
Garden
: Activity 3. The pupils will answer the question on page 10 and 11 in the activity book.
