Washington County Jail GA

The Washington County jail is located in Washington, Georgia. It has a capacity of holding more
than 200 inmates at a time, with a sentence of less than a year. Most people who pass through
this jail are either awaiting trial or those sentenced and awaiting transfer to their sentencing
facilities.

The facility offers a couple of programs to help address any problems inmates may be
experiencing, such as addictions education and other health issues. Some of these programs
include GED programs and counseling.

Inmate Search

If you believe an inmate is being held at the Washington county jail, you can use an automated
phone stem where you call a number and access inmate information through name and birth date.
The number is (970) 514-3145.

You also have the choice of calling the facility direct through (970) 354-2244 and enquire
directly from the officers involved.

There is also an online vine system you can access where inmates can be searched online.

For all the above, you will need to have some details about the inmate, including the name and
ID. An alias may also help!

Sending Mail/ Package

The facility allows for correspondence between an inmate and their loved ones. Inmate mail is
distributed the whole week through; however, they are subject to security checks such as opening
the mail.

When it comes to sending packages over, ensure you first get in touch with the facility officials,
and learn about their rules and regulations regarding sending packages.

Ensure you put on the inmate's right names and ID if you send anything to the facility to ensure it
goes to the right person.

Sending Money

Money is also allowed within the facility; however, only at the inmates' commissary account.
The money helps the inmate get some things they would otherwise not get directly from the
facility.
The facility has put a couple of ways for you to get money into the inmates' accounts. You can
either send the money over through wire transfer, money orders, and checks or go for a direct
deposit at the facility during a visit.

Phone Calls

Inmates have a chance at making phone calls while at the facility. However, phone call
privileges come with some restrictions as to the maximum time allowed per call, the time
allowed to place phone calls, and monitoring the calls for security purposes.

Visitation

The facility will allow for two and half-hour visits per week. You can visit between Monday and
Friday between 1:30-4:30 pm while other first Saturday of the month, you can come in between
1 and 4 pm.

Ensure you first call the facility and learn about all the rules to be followed to visit.
