Adilabad Distirct

Adilabadis a city which serves as the headquarters of Adilabad district, in the Indian state of Telangana.
Telugu, Urdu, Marathi, and Lambadi, Gondi are the most spoken languages of Adilabad. Adilabad is famous
for its extensive cultivation of cotton. Hence, Adilabad is also referred as "White Gold City". It is located
about 304 kilometres (189mi) north of the state capital, Hyderabad, 150 kilometres (93mi) from Nizamabad
and
196 kilometres (122 mi) from Nagpur.

The city is situated on a well-forested plateau some 2,000 feet (600 metres) high between the Godavari
(south) and Penganga (north) rivers. It is an agricultural trade centre, connected with Hyderabad and with
Nagpur in Maharashtra state to the north by a national highway.

Adilabad has an average elevation of 264 metres. The district shares its boundaries with Nirmal districts of
Telangana to the south, Komaram Bheem district on the east, with Nanded on the west and Yavatmal and
Chandrapur districts of Maharashtra to the north.

The Kuntala Waterfall, rivers like the Godavari, Painganga, etc flow through the district. Mavala lake, built
during the Nizam period, is situated 6 km south side of Adilabad city.

In 2011, Adilabad had a population of 117,167


Road
National Highway 44 passes through Adilabad. Hyderabad is 310km from Adilabad. Nagpur is 196km away
from Adilabad.
Bhadradri kothegudem

Bhadradri Kothagudem is a district in the east of the Indian state of Telangana.Kothagudem is the district
headquarters.It is the largest district in Telangana, with an area of 7483 km2. It borders the districts
Khammam, Mahabubabad,Mulugu,Eluruand East Godavari, and shares a boundary with the bordering
states Chhattisgarh and Andhra Pradesh. The district comprises 24 mandals and 2 revenue divisions,
Kothagudem and Bhadrachalam.

Kothagudem district contains some major industries, and is endowed with a variety of important minerals
such as coal. ThemSingareni Collieries Company (SCCL), a government coal mining company jointly owned
by the Government of Telangana and Government of India

Bhadradri Kothagudem is the easternmost district of Telangana and is spread over an area of
7,483km2(2,889 sqmi).The district is bounded on the north and northeast by the Bijapur and Sukma
districts of Chhattisgarh, on the east by East Godavari district, on the south and southeast by the Khammam
and West Godavari districts, on the west by Mahabubabad district and on the northwest by Mulugu district.

As of the 2011 census of India, the district has a population of 1,069,261.

The district has two revenue divisions of Bhadrachalam and Kothagudem and is sub-divided into 23 mandals
Hanumakonda

Hanamkonda district,(formerly Warangal Urban district) is a district in the Indian state of Telangana. The
district headquarters are located at Hanamakonda.The district borders the districts of Jangaon, Karimnagar,
Warangal, Bhupalpally and Siddipet.

Hanumakonda district occupies an area of 1,309 square kilometres (505 sq mi).

As of 2011 Census of India, Hanumakonda district has a population of 1,080,858

Transport
National Highway 163 (India) between Hyderabad – Bhopalpatnam of Chhattisgarh, National Highway 563
(India) between Jagitial-Khammam passes through the district. Warangal has three railway stations kazipet
town railway station, Kazipet Railway Station and Warangal Railway Station, which connects South and
North India. The district has a small airport in Mamnoor, which can accommodate small aircraft like the ATR
42. This airport is currently used by police for gliding sorties, skeet shooting and aero-modeling
Hydearabad

Hyderabad district is a district in the state of Telangana in India that contains a part of the metropolitan area
of Hyderabad. It is the smallest of all the districts in the state, but has the highest population density. Old
MCH area, which is central region of Hyderabad city comes under this district. The district shares
boundaries with Rangareddy and Medhchal districts.

In the 2011 census Hyderabad district's population was 3,943,323.

Hyderabad is integrated into the National Highway Network of India through NH 44, NH 65, NH 163, NH
765, NH 765D, while four State Highways SH1, SH4, SH 6, SH 19 originate/terminate in Hyderabad.
Hyderabad has a vehicle population of nearly 48 lakhs and is the highest after Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai
and Mumbai.

The Hyderabad District has been divided into 16 mandals with 4 erstwhile taluks of Charminar, Golconda,
Musheerabad and Secunderabad. The Hyderabad district houses some of the most prestigious industries
like Vazir sultan Tobacco, Indian Oxygen, Hyderabad Industries, Thane Transformers company, Kedia
Vanspati (Agarwal Industries) etc besides various public sector undertakings. With cosmopolitan culture, the
city has congenial and hospitable environment for growth and development of SSI and Tiny industries.
Charminar, Golconda fort, Salar Jung Museum, Makka Maszid, Zoological park, NTR Gardens, NTR Ghat
under Buddha Purnima Project, Birla Science Museum and Temple, Ramoji Film City etc are the places of
tourist attraction.

The first Expressway in Hyderabad connecting Mehdipatnam and Aramgarh opened for public in 2009 to
ease connectivity to Rajiv Gandhi International Airport located in Shamshabad, and named after the former
Prime Minister P V Narsimha Rao. An extension of this Expressway further to Shamshabad was mulled in
2018.
The Road Network in Hyderabad is characterised by a concentric network of inner Ring Road and Outer Ring
Road. The latter is an expressway stretching 158km, built to provide orbital linkage between arterial radial
roads within the city, as well as to offer connectivity the National Highways
JAGITAL

Jagtial district is a district located in the northern region of the Indian state of Telangana. Its administrative
headquarters is the city of Jagtial. The district shares boundaries with Nirmal, Mancherial, Karimnagar,
Peddapalli, Sircilla and Nizamabad districts.

The district is spread over an area of 2,419.00 square kilometres (933.98 sq mi).Jagtial district shares it
boundaries with Nirmal district and Mancherial district on North and North East respectively, it is bounded
on South and South West by Karimnagar district and Peddapalli district respectively and on the West by
Nizamabad district

Jangaon

District was formed on 11 October 2016, Jangaon is made as the district headquarters along with 21 newly
formed district in Telangana.

At the time of the 2011 census, Jangaon had a population of 534,991

Warangal district was divided into five districts: Warangal Urban district (now Hanamkonda
district),Warangal Rural district(now Warangal district), Jangaon district, Jayashankar district and
Mahabubabad district.
The Jangaon district was formed with mostly old Jangaon Revenue division except Maddur, Cherial and
Newly formed Komuravelli Mandals which were transferred to newly formed Siddipet district, Ghanpur and
Zaffergadh from Warangal Revenue division and Gundala of Nalgonda district were merged with Jangaon
district. Gundala was later transferred to Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district. The Telugu poet Bammera
Pothana was born in the village of Bammera in Jangoan in 1450 AD.
Jayashankar Bhupalpally

Jayashankar Bhupalpally district is a district in the Indian state of Telangana.The district headquarters are
located at Bhupalpally. It was a part of the erstwhile Warangal district and Karimnagar district prior to the
re-organisation of districts in the state. The district share boundaries with Karimnagar, Mancherial,
Peddapalli, Hanamkonda, Warangal, and Mulugu districts and with the state boundary of Maharashtra and
Chhattisgarh. The world's largest multi-stage lift irrigation project Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project is in
Jayashankar Bhupalpally District and Jayashankar Bhupalpally District falls Under naxal affected district as
per Red corridor.

The district is spread over an area of 6,175 square kilometres (2,384 sq mi)

There are 2 assembly constituencies in Bhupalapally district. They are Bhupalapalle, Manthani

At the time of the 2011 census, 95.34% of the population spoke Telugu, 1.76% Lambadi and 1.59% Urdu as
their first language.
Jogulamba Gadwal district

Jogulamba Gadwal district is a district in the Indian state of Telangana. The administrative headquarters of
the district is located at Gadwal.The district shares boundaries with Narayanpet, Wanaparthy districts and
with the state boundary of Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. The district was carved out from Mahabubnagar
district in 2016.

The district is spread over an area of 2,928 square kilometres (1,131sq mi). As of the 2011 Census of India,
the area within the district had a population of 609,990.[6]

Kamareddy

Kamareddy is a city and headquarters of the Kamareddy district in Telangana state in India. It is located
about 117 kilometres (73 mi) north of the state capital Hyderabad, 56 kilometres (35 mi) from Nizamabad
and 96 kilometres (60 mi) from Karimnagar.

Kamareddy's main source of income is Agriculture , most of the families here are dependent on
agriculture.The crops produced in Kamareddy are paddy, sugar, jaggery, different vegetables, maize and
turmeric. There are around 318 textile business centers. Telangana's biggest poultry farms are in
Kamareddy's rural and urban areas. One of the major agriculture market yard is located in Kamareddy.
Kamareddy is the major center for the surrounding towns and villages. Kamareddy has agriculture based
industries like Gayathri Sugars and Several rice mills which produces large scale of food products like Sugar,
Rice and many more.

Kamareddy has two bus stands, and a railway station with connectivity to most major cities in Telangana,
Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra. Kamareddy is connected to major highways like NH44 (Srinagar-
Kanyakumari Highway) which is the longest highway in India. Kamareddy has many roads which is
connected to all major cities in India. State Highway 11 (Telangana) passes through this town.

KARIMNAGAR
Karimnagar is a city and District Headquarters in the Indian state of Telangana. Karimnagar is a major urban
agglomeration and the Second largest city in the state. It is governed by the Municipal Corporation and is
the headquarters of the Karimnagar district.It is situated on the banks of Manair River, which is a tributary
of the Godavari River. It is the third largest and fastest growing urban settlement in the state, according to
the 2011 census. It has registered a population growth rate of 45.46% and 38.87% respectively over the
past two decades between 1991 and 2011, which is the highest growth rate among major cities of
Telangana.It serves as a major educational and health hub for the northern districts of Telangana.It is a
major business center and widely known for its agricultural and granite industries, earning the nickname
"City of Granites.

Karimnagar has a population of 397,447 within its corporation limits, according to 2011 census, making it
the Third largest city in Telangana state

Lower Manair Dam (LMD) is one of the largest dams in the state of Telangana. LMD is a major tourism spot
for people of Karimnagar and the surrounding area. The dam has boating facilities.

The economy of Karimnagar comes from mainly three sectors Agriculture, industry, and services. There are
many granite quarries on the city outskirts near Baopet, and many Agro based industries, Paddy and cotton
are the major crops produced in Karimnagar. The Lower Manair Dam in Karimnagar has a capacity of 24.5
thousand million cubic feet which can irrigate 4,00,000 acres of land.

Transport

Karimnagar is connected to other major cities and towns by means of road. State Highway which connects
with the Hyderabad–Karimnagar–Mancherial Highway coal-belt corridor passes through town. In addition,
State highways 7, 10, 11and National Highway 563 which connects Jagtial–Karimnagar–Warangal–
Khammam.
Khammam

Khammam district is a district in the eastern region of the Indian state of Telangana. The city of Khammam
is the district headquarters. The district shares boundaries with Suryapet, Mahabubabad, Bhadradri districts
and with Eluru and NTR districts.

Khammam district occupies an area of 4,361 square kilometres (1,684 sqmi). It is surrounded by Suryapet
district and Mahabubabad district to the west,Bhadradri Kothagudem district to the east, NTR district to the
south and east, and Eluru district to the east.

As of 2011 Census of India, the district has a population of 1,401,639.

In 2006 the Indian government named Khammam one of the country's 250 most backward districts (out of
a total of 640).It is one of the districts in Telangana currently receiving funds from the Backward Regions
Grant Fund Programme (BRGF).
Komaram Bheem asifabad

Kumuram Bheem Asifabad district is a district in the Indian state of Telangana. The town of Asifabad is its
district headquarters and kagaznagar as its largest town.It is named after Gond tribal leader Kumuram
Bheem. It was earlier part of Adilabad district and it became a new district in 2016.The district share
boundaries with Adilabad, Nirmal, Mancherial districts and with the state boundary of Maharashtra. It is
the second most backward district in India, according to the 2018 NITI Aayog ranking.[3]

The district is spread over an area of 4,300 square kilometres (1,700 sq mi).Hills dominate the western part
of the district and Pranhita river runs parallel to the east.

As of the 2011 Census, the district has a population of 515,812

At the time of the 2011 census, 37.36% of the population spoke Telugu, 27.85% Marathi, 12.48% Gondi,
7.27% Urdu, 3.73%Lambadi, 3.51% Bengali, 3.05% Kolami, 2.53% Koya and 1.46% Hindi as their first
language.
Mahabubabad

Mahabubabad (Ancient Name - Manukota) is a city and the district headquarters of Mahabubabad district
in the Indian state of Telangana. It is on the west bank of the Munneru, which is one of the tributaries of the
River Krishna. Mahabubabad is known for the Bayyaram Mines

The population of Mahabubabad is around 42,851 according to 2011 census reports.

Mahabubabad is well connected with road and rail routes to every other place of the state and the nation.

Mahabubabad has a bus depot of TSRTC with 100-bus capacity. It has many services for the needs of the
citizens. It falls on the main route of Warangal-Bhadrachalam.National Highway 365 (India) passes through
the town. As well as National Highway 930P (India). Nearly 20,000 people go from here daily through the
bus facilities. In addition, apart from the main bus stand, to meet the needs of the passengers there are
Kuravi bus stand, Thorruur bus stand, Pusalapalli bus stop, and many seven-seat autorickshaws and
Commander Jeeps connecting the nearby villages.

Mahabubnagar
Mahabubnagar is the largest district in Telangana State in terms of area(5,285.1 sq. km) covered. It is also
known as Palamoor. Mahabubnagar district headquarters town was named after Mir Mahabub Ali Khan, the
Nizam of Hyderabad. It is located between 15° 55′ and 17° 29′ N latitudes and between 77° 15 ′ and 79° 15 ′ E
longitudes. The area of the district is 5,285.1 sq. kms. It is bounded on the north by Ranga Reddy district of
Telangana, on the east by Nagarkurnool district of Telangana, on the south by Wanaparthy and Jogulamba-
Gadwal districts of Telangana and on the west by Raichur and Gulbarga districts of Karnataka State.

In 2011, Mahbubnagar had a population of 222,573

Economy

Mahabubnagar has an IT Tower, inaugurated in 2023, as part of KTR's mantra of ‘3-D’ (Digitise, Decarbonise
and Decentralise).

Transport
The city is connected to major cities and towns by means of road, railway and airway. National and state
highways that pass through the city are NH 44 ,NH 167N and NH 167, State highway 20 and 23.TSRTC
operates buses to various destinations from Mahbub Nagar bus station of the city.
Mancherial district
is a district located in the northern region of the Indian state of Telangana.The district comprises 18 mandals
and two revenue divisions – Mancherial and Bellampalli. The district headquarters is located at Mancherial
town. It is surrounded by Komaram Bheem, Nirmal, Jagtial, Peddapalli and Bhupalpally districts of Telangana
and with Maharashtra state.
The district has two revenue divisions of Mancherial, Bellampally which are sub-divided into 18 mandals

The district is spread over an area of 4,056.36 square kilometres (1,566.17 sq mi).It shares borders with
Gadchiroli district of Maharashtra on the east,Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Peddapalli and Jagitial districts to
the south, Nirmal district to the west and Kumaram Bheem district to the north.

As of 2011 Census of India, the district has a population of 807,037

Kawal Tiger Reserve is a nature preserve located at Jannaram mandal of Mancherial DistrictPranahita
Wildlife Sanctuary. Covers 136 square kilometres (53 sq mi) and is famous for Blackbuck, otherwise known
as Indian antelope.

Shivaram Wildlife Sanctuary is a wildlife preserve in Mancherial district, located 10km from Manthani, 40km
from Peddapalli, 80km from Karimnagar and 30 km from Godavarikhani. This riverine forest mixed with teak
and terminalia is spread over 36.29 square kilometres (14.01 sqmi)

NH 63 Jagdalpur to yedashi via renapur latur bodhan nizamabad passes through Mancherial.

NH 363 A new National highway is being constructed from Mancherial to Chandrapur.

Also another new National highway is sanctioned from Jaipur Mandal to Warangal via Manthani and
Bhupalpally. This Highway is named as Green Industrial corridor by NHAI.

Medak
Medak (formerly Siddapur) is a town in Medak district of the Indian state of Telangana. It is a municipality
and the headquarters of Medak mandal in Medak revenue division.There is a river named Srujan in the area
which is long in length.

Medak is located at 18.03°N 78.27°E. It has an average elevation of 442 meters (1450 feet).
As of 2011 census of India, the town had a population of 44,255 with 9011 households

The largest employer in Medak is agriculture. After agriculture most people are employed in unorganised
sector.

Tourism
Pocharam Wildlife Sanctuary is a forest and wildlife sanctuary named for the nearby Pocharam Lake. Medak
Cathedral sees over the Diocese of Medak, the single largest diocese in Asia. Medak Fort is a popular tourist
attraction. The fort was originally constructed by the Kakatiya kings and later developed by the Qutb Shahi
kings.Ancient temple of Kuchadri Venkateshwara Swamy at Kuchanpally is a nearby Hindu worship centre.

Medchal- Malkajgiri
Medchal−Malkajgiri district is a district in the Indian state of Telangana. Shamirpet is the headquarter of the
district. It is the second most populous district in the state with a population of 2.5 million and also 91.40%
urbanized district in the state of Telangana, standing next only to Hyderabad district which has a population
of 4 million. The district shares boundaries with Hyderabad, Medak, Sangareddy,Y. Bhuvanagiri, Siddipet
and Rangareddy districts.The most part of the district consist of Hyderabad City (GHMC)

Geography

The district is spread over an area of 1,084 square kilometres (419 sq mi).It is situated 505 metres above sea
level. The landmark consists of rocky terrain and monolithic rocks in the outskirts of the city.
As of 2011 census of India, the district is the second most populous district in the state with a population of
2,440,073

The district will have two revenue divisions of Keesara and Malkajgiri. They are sub-divided into 15 mandals.
