        I am writing based on the request for the Professorial assessment of Associate Professor Dauda Gava, this is a
        response to the request dated 20th November, 2023. Based on his contributions to academic development in
        various institutions, which have been exemplified, I am pleased to offer my perspective on his qualifications
        and suitability for a position of Professorship at West Africa Theology Seminary.
        Dr. Dauda Gauva has distinguished himself in the world of scholarship. His research interests in New
        Testament, Peace building and so forth, have led to significant contributions to the field, evident in his
        publications in reputable academic and Theological journals and his participation in academic conferences.
        In addition to his scholarly achievements, Dr. Gauva has demonstrated exceptional teaching abilities and
        administrative acumen. Furthermore, his achievement in the area of academic Mentorship is reflected in his
        Curriculum vitae. He has actively contributed to departmental committees, academic initiatives, and
        community engagement efforts, demonstrating his commitment to the broader mission of higher education and
        the advancement of theological discourse.
        Dr. Dauda has met the criteria for promotion to the rank of Professor of Biblical Studies and Peacebuilding. I
        am impressed by the caliber of Dr. Dauda's publications, which demonstrate extensive research and offer

       depth on Biblical issues. The emphasis on the poor, poverty and discrimination as reflection in the

2. The article in Church History include "Contemporary Trends in Church Persecution, Boko Haram
Insurgency and the Ekklesiigar Yan'uwa - A Nigeria experience" in Christianity and Persecution in
contemporary world. Papers of Annual Conference of Nigerian Association for Christian Studies
(NACS 2016 pp 305-327 (Co Authored). The article in Church History is made up of 24 pages. It
was Co Authored and we'll researched. The article is relevant to contemporary challenges of
insurgency in Nigeria with an example of Ekklesiya Yan'uwa experience in the North East Nigeria.

3. Church and Society includes "Peace and Pacifism. An EYN response to insurgency in North East
Nigeria" in His Studies vol. 24, 2016. The article is made up of 24 pages and it is well researched and
has depth and it carries scholarly arguments on peace and pacifism. It maintains the stands of the
EYN response despite the violence and wanton destruction of lives and properties by Boko Haram

4. The books written in the area of Biblical studies and Advanced Greek were well researched for

Professional Activities, Administrative Experience, University / Public Service, we will also talk
about the different areas of his contribution to knowledge which includes; Biblical studies, Church
and Society, Conflict and Peacebuilding, Church History, Religion and society and Comparative
religion, I did a meticulous reading on the fourth (40) publications of Dr. Dauda, and guided by
University guidelines for Professorial and academic promotions, I have the following observations to
