SUFFIXES

 A suffix is a letter or a group of letters added to the end of a word to change its grammatical function (e.g.,
from a noun to an adjective) or to adjust its form. While suffixes don’t drastically change the core meaning
of a word, they often modify its role in a sentence.
 For example:
 Amuse (verb) → Amusement (noun)
 Happy (adjective) → Happiness (noun)
 Care (noun) → Careful (adjective)
