YLÉONORE'S SAMPLER A hertasi sampler of lace knitting

(based on the D'Oyley patterns of Eléonore Riego de la Branchardière)


Suitable for diverse uses depending on yarn and needle choices

Cast on 9 stitches and join:
Chart One:

STITCH KEY:
blank = knit p = purl
O = yarnover A = s2kp
/ = right leaning single decrease = k2tog
\ = left leaning single decrease (stay consistant)
M = k3tog
W = k3tog tbl

Rows uncharted and also not in notes are worked plain knit.
Chart Two:

No
tes for Chart Two:

Each row of the chart has three repeats of each block of the Chenee variation. Then do
three repeats of the next-moving-to-the-left block. There will be 12 six stitch repeats per round.
Row 14, replace one stitch on the left needle before commencing the round. Any stitch
markers you are using will need to move one stitch RIGHT.

ROWS 19 and 20 are knit plain.

ROW 21 is (k1, O) repeated around = 144 stitches.

ROWS 22 and 23 are knit plain

CHART THREE:

Chart Three is repeated 6 times per round.

NOTE: on rows 24,26 and 28 - Beginning of round moves 1 stitch RIGHT

ROWS 35, 36, 37 are knit plain.

CHART FOUR:

Chart four is repeated 9 times per round

ROWS 45, 46 are knit plain.

ROW 47 is (O,k1) repeated around = 288 stitches.

ROWS 48,49 are knit plain.

to the RIGHT

ROWS 97 and 98 are knit.

ROW 99 is (k1, O) repeated around = 576 stitches.

ROWS 10O, 101 are knit plain.

CHART SEVEN:

NOTES:
ROWS 132.134.136.138.140 beginning of round moves one stitch RIGHT

ROW 155 - move beginning of round one stitch LEFT - knit around.

CHART EIGHT:

Repeat the two rows of Chart Eight for desired depth of border (up to 25 repeats). End on a row
without yarnovers. Cast off using a stretchy lace cast off.
