INTRODUCTON

This course deals with the necessary core competencies that the nurse needs to
develop. These competencies will serve as a guide in nursing curriculum development
and a tool for nurses’ performance evaluation. Moreover, it will serve as a yardstick for
unethical, unprofessional nursing practice

OBJECTIVES

After studying the module, you should be able to:

1. Discuss different nursing responsibilities in the 11 key areas.


2. Utilize the nursing process to promote safe quality care.
3. Implement the core competencies in clinical practice.

 DIRECTIONS/ MODULE ORGANIZER
