1. In consonance to Division Memorandum No. 432 s. 2024, the Implementation of
Programs, Projects and Activities of Girl Scout of the Philippines effective School
Year 2024-2025, the COUNCILWIDE CAMP is scheduled on February 28-
March 2, 2025 (Friday-Sunday) at Camp Salvacion R. Valer, Catagbacan, Goa,
Camarines Sur.
2. In line with this, Girl Scout of the Philippines Pili-East District is pleased to
announce the conduct of the GSP Junior Coordinators Meeting on January 7, 2025
to be held at District Conference Hall which will start promptly at 3:00 in the
afternoon.
3. The purpose of the meeting is to plan and prepare for the upcoming Councilwide
Camp Activity.
4. The teacher-participants shall conduct a long session to cover the lesson for the
day to avoid disruption of classes.
5. Travel allowance and other incidental expenses may be charged from the GSP
funds subject for the availability and usual accounting and auditing rules and
regulations.
6. Immediate and wide dissemination of this Memorandum is earnestly desired.

Subject: GSP INSTITUTIONAL CAMPING
1. Consistent with the Department of Education’s (DepEd) mission to enhance, support, and
develop learners into well-rounded individuals with exemplary characters, DepEd recognizes the
significant role of the Girl Scout of the Philippines (GSP), as a co-curricular program, in the
leadership and value formation of every child.
2. All DepEd officials and schoolchildren are encouraged to participate in the scouting activities
such as camps, meeting, competitions, training and conferences at the school, district, division,
regional, national and international level subject to existing DepEd policies, rules and
regulations.
3. The Girl Scout of the Philippines, Pili-East District would like to announce all institutions
(school) to conduct their backyard camping.
4. Conducting such activities will let the girls experience the life in the outdoor and learn the
basic life skills.
5. Below are the guidelines/reminders before, during and after the conduct of the activity:
a. Participants must be a registered Girl Scout of the Philippines as of the current year and must
be physically fit and alert.
b. All participants must submit a Parent’s Consent before joining the activity.
c. Schools should coordinate with the Barangay Officials, PNP, and Rural Health Units / BHW
for safety and security purposes.
d. School coordinators should submit an approved proposal and a narrative report after the
activities.
e. Strict implementation of safety and security protocols for all the participants before, during
and after the activity must be observed.
6. Corresponding service credits shall be granted to all troop leaders and other personnel who
participated in the camp activities as per DECS Memorandum No. 143 s. 1997. Attachments in
granting service credits are certificate of participation, DTR, Approved Proposal, certification
from District Field Adviser/District Coordinator/PSDS/School Head/Council and
Accomplishment Report.
