“He Who Can Vision the Betterment of His Country”
Dear future Mr. /Ms. President,
A joyful and pleasant day to welcome you on your new journey, our dearest
President of the Philippines. During the past elections and terms that happened in the
Philippines, ruled by many politicians, a lot of Filipino people have been aiming to elect a
candidate that is suitable for the position, and every 6 years, new government officials and
new rulings have been established. As an arduous campaign season comes to an end, a
new stage has finally arrived with another set of individuals whom the public believed to be
capable and competent to be picked as this country's representative throughout the world.
Thus, to the future hope of our beloved Philippines, many people are looking forward to your
excellence to thrive and strive for the betterment of our country. May you not invalidate the
grievance of the nation, but rather be a voice and hope in their chaotic and devastating
world. Throw the book to those culpable, not to the innocent people who are incapable of
fighting for their rights.
Correspondingly, may you always find ways to seek better and more humane options
for our country. The Philippines has struggled a lot in different aspects of our society;
therefore, may you give more attention and invest in the overall health of our youths. As we
have been observing nowadays, youths are being so distracted by social media, leading to
their being so fragile to the circumstances that they encounter in their lives. A gentle
reminder that these youths are the ones who will lead our country in the next generation.
Some problems also arise because of the said problem, such as teenage pregnancy and the
use of illegal drugs. Moreover, may you also give importance to and acknowledge the value
of our natural resources, even our human resources, because this is one of our
recommended solutions that you can provide in order to lessen the poverty and
unemployment of the people. Giving importance to these things will aid us in having a
progressive and more developed country. May you also develop a united country, as former
US president Barack Obama once said, "In the face of impossible odds, people who love
their country can change it." Additionally, having a united country can make the country
surpass all obstacles such as high inflation, a lack of education, climate change, and so on.
Along with it, may you not be avaricious for you to not be blinded by money nor power,
because you, as our leader, who will attain great power, should always keep in mind what
Mr. Winston Churchill once said: "Where there is great power, there is a great responsibility."
Over and above that, we are looking forward to your legacy, for we know that one
day you will take the path that God wants you to take. With your humbleness, honesty,
bravery, and kind heart, with your devotion to our country, and with your perseverance and
will to change the fate of our country, we know that one day we will see the light at the end of
the tunnel. Again, on behalf of all Filipinos, we give our warmest congratulations, and we are
pinning our hopes on you for the prosperity and good governance of our country.
Sincerely,
