Junimo Body

Starting in the body colour

R1: 6 sc into a mr =6
R2: 6 inc = 12
R3: 6 (1 sc, 1 inc) = 18
R4: 1 sc, 1 inc, 5 (2 sc, 1 inc), 1 sc = 24
R5: 6 (3 sc, 1 inc) = 30
R6: 2 sc, 1 inc, 5 (4 sc, 1 inc), 2 sc = 36
R7: 6 (5 sc, 1 inc) = 42
R8-12: sc around = 42
R13: 3 (13 sc, 1 inc) = 45
R14-16: sc around = 45
R17: 7 sc, 1 inc, 2 (14 sc, 1 inc), 7 sc = 48
R18-20: sc around = 48
R21: 3 sc, 1 dec, 5 (6 sc, 1 dec), 3 sc = 42
Stop here and attach the safety eyes between rows
16 and 17, leaving 5 full visible stitches between
Them [fig 1]. (Adjust the distance between the eyes
if you are using a smaller or larger yarn weight.)
R22: 6 (5 sc, 1 dec) = 36
R23: 2 sc, 1 dec, 5 (4 sc, 1 dec), 2 sc = 30
R24: 6 (3 sc, 1 dec) = 24 [fig 1]
R25: 1 sc, 1 dec, 5 (2 sc, 1 dec), 1 sc = 18
Stop here and stuff the body.
R26: 6 (1 sc, 1 dec) = 12
R27: dec around =6
FO leaving a long tail. Use the tail to weave through the remaining stitches, pull
tight, and make a knot to secure.
Push your needle with the tail still attached into the body of the Junimo [fig 2]
up through the middle of the head [fig 3], move one stitch over [fig 4] and come
back down to the bottom [fig 5], pull tight [fig 6] and make a knot [fig 7]. This
will sculpt the little dip in the head where the stem will be attached.

Arms (Make 2)

Starting in black
R1: ch 7, sl back down the ch in the back bumps =6
FO and set aside.

Legs (Make 2)

Starting in black
R1: ch 5, sl back down the ch in the back bumps =4
FO and set aside.

Stem

Starting in black
R1: ch 8, sl back down the ch in the back bumps =7
FO and set aside.

Leaf

Starting in the body colour

ch 4, sl in second ch from hook, sc, 5 hdc, (we are now working back up the
opposite side of the ch) sc, sl, sl in tip of leaf

Assembly

Using the tails on the end of the stem, attach it into the dip at the top of the
head.
Sew the leaf to the stem. Weave your ends into the leaf, and proceed to the next
step.
Attach the arms on the sides of the body leaving 5 visible stitches between
them and the eyes, making sure that the top of the arm lines up with the top of
the eyes.
Using a small piece of pink yarn, apply the blush under the eyes. Go across 2
full stitches TWICE when applying the blush (Optionally you could use real
blush instead of yarn.).
Attach the legs to the bottom of the body, leaving 4 visible rows under the
blush, keep the legs somewhat lined up under the eyes. I prefer this position
for the legs as it makes them visible when the Junimo sits down.
