 Analysis of Religious Distribution in the four Panchayats: -


1. Garjee – Garjee panchayat is predominantly Hindu (66.67%), with

a significant Christian minority (32.35 %) and a negligible Muslim


Presence (0.98%). The strong Hindu majority reflects cultural
continuity. While the Christian population adds to the region’s
diversity.
2. Purba Mogpushkarini- Purba Mogpushkarini Stand out with a
Muslim Majority (64.81%), while Hindus (23.15%) and Christians
(12.04%) Form Smaller communities. This unique demographic
composition highlights the panchayats distinct and religious
identity.
3. Chandrapur R. F - Chandrapur R.F is overwhelmingly Hindu
(87.01%), with a small Christian presence (10.39%) and an even
smaller Muslim population (2.60%). This panchayat exhibits the
highest Hindu concentration, making it a less religiously diverse
area.
4. Peratia- Peratia is the only Panchayat with a Christian majority
(83.72%), while Hindus (13.95%) and Muslims (2.33%) from minor
communities. This makes it a religiously distinct region compared
to the others.

It is found and observed from field survey and according to the latest study
each panchayat has a different religious majority, showcasing regional diversity.
Hinduism dominates in Garjee and Chandrapur RF, while Christianity prevails in
Peratia and Islam leads in Purba Mogpushkarini. The variations in religious
composition reflect historical, cultural and social influences unique to each
region. Though we have found diversity in religion but people in this region
lived in peace and tranquillity.
