Dear Younger Self,

Do you remember how terrified you were to be the lead actor in your play for your performance task in
English? As a Romeo in the well-known tragedy story of William Shakespeare the “Romeo and Juliet”?
Your heart was pounding like a bass drum, and you think so many "what ifs” even though it’s not yet
starting. However, you aced it! You inhaled deeply, shook your fear, and despite your nervousness, you
aced the play and got a high grade!

You are that kind of person who is fearless, tough and overcoming obstacles once more, as you have in
the past. Don't let ever your fear stop you. Accept the challenge you’ve overcoming because look who
are you right now, it's where you’ve learned and develop the most! Do you still remember the moment
you were having trouble in making your research paper? It felt unachievable. However, you keep on
pushing and figuring it out rather than giving up! You're that kind of person who solves problems with
determination and resourcefulness and that thing helps you right now. Challenges don't scare you
anymore instead, you’re welcoming them and come up with answers. You'll go far in life if you will
maintain that spirit. Also even in difficult times, never lose faith in yourself. Furthermore, do you
remember the moment you felt awkward approaching new student in your class when you are in grade
three. Despite your fear of rejection or judgment, you took a chance and make friends with them. And
now? You've gained friends! You are the kind of person who is inviting, understanding, and kind. You're
not scared to reach out to people because you think that friendship and connection will be your great
power.

You are the kind of person who is sensitive, caring, and determined to improve yourself. You're not
scared to stand out for what you believe in, and you love in assisting others. Maintaining compassion and
empathy will make the world a more lovely place.

Your Future Self,

Drahcir Jann P. Reyes
