Calculation Sheet / Format

For the Applicants for admission to different Courses under the


University of Calcutta
For the Academic Session 2021-2022
The applicants are hereby requested to submit:

(i) their aggregate marks as well as percentage of marks obtained and full marks of Honours
Subjects/ Papers and General Subjects /Papers (under annual System, i.e., 1+1+1 System),
of all the three years,
or
(ii) aggregate marks as well as percentage of marks obtained in Core Courses (CC), Discipline
Specific Elective Courses (DSE) and Skill Enhancement Courses (SEC) [under CBCS] to be
treated as Honours Marks, and aggregate as well as percentage of marks of Generic Elective
Subjects / Papers to be treated as General Marks of all the three years (six semesters) under
CBCS, as the case may be.

Candidates are requested to carefully calculate the marks / grades following the
methods given below and put the same in appropriate places of their application forms.
Candidates are also requested to upload the calculation sheet of % of marks obtained
and full marks in the portal.

Furnishing incorrect/wrong information may lead to cancellation of Application and / or Admission.

➢ Case: 01 Where Marks obtained and Full Marks of honours subject and general subject
are mentioned in the mark sheet they must put the same.( TABLE – A)
➢ Case: 02 Where Marks obtained & Grade Point / CGPA and Full Marks of honours subject
and general subject are mentioned in the mark sheet they must put the Marks obtained
& Full Marks as mentioned. No necessity of calculation of % of Marks obtained from
CGPA. (TABLE – A)
➢ Case: 03 Where Marks obtained in different papers are not mentioned in the Mark Sheet,
but Full Marks of honours subject and general subject are mentioned in the mark sheet
they must calculate percentage( %) of Marks obtained using the formula: (CGPA) X 10
and put Marks obtained as calculated and Full Marks. (TABLE – B)
➢ Case: 04 Where only Grade Point & CGPA are mentioned in the mark sheet, candidate
must calculate % of Marks obtained = (CGPA) X 10. Accordingly put Marks
obtained and Full Marks as calculated. (TABLE – B)

Non- CU Candidates must upload this calculation sheet (Both Table A and Table B)
of marks obtained, Full Marks and % of Marks obtained in Honours Subject and
General/GE Papers/ Subjects along with the mark-sheets of six(06) semesters
on the admission portal by logging in using their user ID & password.
CU Candidates are not required to upload this Calculation sheet.

In case of any doubt, candidates are advised to contact the helpdesk.
