CALCULATION METHODOLOGY

As we are aware that for SRMAP the basic eligibility criterion is min 60%. We accept different
boards too. Every other board has a different way to calculate their scores for admission in
undergraduate courses basically for SEAMS & SLASS.

We will go through few calculations patterns for different boards.

ICSE (Indian Certificate of Secondary Education)

10th: Best 4 subjects out of 5 where English is mandatory

For e.g.:

a+b+c+d x 100 = Percentage

400

12th: Best 5 subjects out of 6 where English is mandatory

For e.g.:

a+b+c+d+e x 100 = Percentage

500

CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education)

10th: 5 subjects x 100 = Percentage

500

12th: 5 subjects x 100 = Percentage

* In case there are marks given to the optional subjects, then in that case before promising admission ask for
their respective marksheets so, that Admission Committee could take the decision.

STATE BOARDS: (AP, Telangana)

12th: We take total of 1st & 2nd Year

For e.g.

1st yr + 2nd yr = Percentage

CAMBRIDGE
Grade Charts

A*- 90%-100%
A - 80%-89%
B - 70%-79%
C- 60%-69%

10th: All subjects are considered at times there might be 6 or even 7 subjects

6/7subjects x 100 = Percentage

600/700

12th: They have only 3 subjects

3 subjects x 100 = Percentage

300

NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling)

Total marks obtained by total number of subjects

For e.g. If student have 5 subjects with no electives either in 10th or 12th

5 subjects x 100 = Percentage

*In case we get marksheets with CGPA kindly forward it to the concerned department for calculation as every
other board have different calculation.

* For any other state boards if there is a confusion follow the same procedure of forwarding the marksheet.
