Tricolor București. In his last season
at Juventus, Crețeanu made only three appearances, afterwards going to play for Unirea Tricolor
București.[1][9] Unirea Tricolor relegated after his first season spent there but he stayed with the team,
helping it gain promotion back to the first league after one season.[1] The 1940–41 season was Crețeanu's
last season of his career, player-coach Ștefan Cârjan using him in two games as the team won the title, his
last appearance being on 28 September 1941 in a 2–0 home win with Venus București, having a total of
70 Divizia A matches, also the team reached the 1941 Cupa României final but Cârjan did not use him in
the loss in front of Rapid București.[1][10][11]

International career
Anghel Crețeanu played six games at international level for Romania, making his debut on 30 December
1934 under coach Alexandru Săvulescu who used him as a starter but replaced him after 15 minutes with
Carol Burdan in a 3–2 away victory with Bulgaria at the 1934–35 Balkan Cup.[12][13] His following three
games were at the 1935 Balkan Cup.[12] Crețeanu's last match for the national was at the friendly King
Carol II Cup against Yugoslavia, played on 10 May 1936 which ended with a 3–2 win.[12]

Writing
Anghel Crețeanu wrote one volume about football, published in 1972 called "20 de ani în urmărirea
balonului rotund" (20 years in pursuit of the round balloon).[14]
Death
Anghel Crețeanu died on 7 January 1987 at the age of 76.[1][12]
