In August 1980, De Clerck signed for Aberdeen in the 1974–1976 FC Twente
Scottish Premier Division.[1] In his debut for the club, 1976–1979 SC Heracles
a Scottish League Cup tie against Berwick Rangers, he 1979–1980 Go Ahead Eagles
scored a goal from a long clearance.[2] He injured his 1980–1981 Aberdeen 1 (0)
ankle in his next game, a league match against 1981–1982 SC Heracles
Kilmarnock, and failed to regain his place in the side 1982–1983 De Graafschap
on regaining his fitness.[3] After one year in Scotland Managerial career
De Clerck moved back to Heracles on a free transfer.[3] KRC Gent-Zeehaven
He later played for De Graafschap and Belgian club *Club domestic league appearances and goals
KRC Harelbeke before retiring as a player.
De Clerck later managed KRC Gent-Zeehaven.
