                                   Introduction
To be able to pick up a piece of plastic no bigger than a cigarette and perform miracles
with it right on your fingertips is the mark of a great magician. And that's what the HOT
ROD should be to you — a miracle device so versatile that you can use it on its own or to
add dimension to just about any effect or routine you already amaze your friends with.
The potential for a variety of effects with the HOT ROD is enormous, all it takes is for
someone to sit down and create them. That’s what this book is all about. Here you are
given 40 different tricks and routines to consider as you are mastering the HOT ROD or
any of the other color—changing devices. Each effect has been tested on people very
much like the ones you will be entertaining — and every trick is a winner. All it takes is
some practice.
Most of the tricks and routines described in this book are drawn from classic, age old
tricks, and are by no means original. Even if you don’t think a particular effect is your
style, remember they are all important for you to learn if you wish to REALLY
ENTERTAIN your friends with the HOT ROD. It’s up to you to use your "magician’s
pizzaz" to turn these effects into blockbuster miracles. All it takes is wanting to have fun.
Don’t just do a series of "tricks" — do a SHOW.
                                             5
                                  The HOT ROD
Unless you are one of the few who knows the secret, to sit down and try to figure out
how all six HOT ROD jewels can become the same color at the will of the performer
would be fruitless. Even if you did realize that one side of the HOT ROD is always multi-
colored while the other side is always single-colored, how the magician was able to show
you time and time again BOTH sides being whichever way he wanted remains a mystery.
Where are the slides or other jewels that pop up? How does the "jewel-changing
chemical" (as so many people insist is the key) work? Hey, just what is it about this HOT
ROD thing that makes it sing?
As you already know by now — nothing. It is your dexterity as a magician — and that is
all. Even if your audience did figure out that you were just "flipping" the device, it is
something they cannot do. You are still the MASTER.
An important thing to remember as you are perfecting your basic paddle move is to be
relaxed. Don’t quickly flip, flip, flip the device to death — just a casual turn of your hand
a couple of times is all it takes to get your point across. Also don't move more than your
hand unless the move calls for it. Why should you twist your arm up, down and over to
show the other side of a small piece of plastic? Just turn the device over.
What makes the paddle move so convincing and devious is its simplicity. The fact that
you are twisting and flipping the device over and over so the audience can only ever see
just one side seems too complicated for the lay person to conceive. Keep that in mind as
you are mastering this device.
*IMPORTANT*
Hold the device and take each effect step-by-step as you are wading through this book.
You cannot learn any of these moves, tricks, and routines unless you TRY THEM AS
YOU READ THEM!
                                             6
                                 Various Moves
When performing with the HOT ROD it is best to incorporate as many different ways of
either executing the paddle move or creating the change so that you won’t bore your
audience with the same old dull flip flip flip. This chapter suggests many new and not so
new ways of working with the paddle move. Learn as many as you can when mastering
the HOT ROD to keep variety in your act. Remember, it is essential that you practice
step-by- step with the HOT ROD in your hands.
1) MOUTH
This move REALLY WOWS them every time! Hold the HOT ROD by one of its ends with
the free end pointing straight up. Push the free end of the device into your mouth about
three-fourths of the way. The last fourth should be covered by your fingers. As soon as
the device is in your mouth, flip it over with your thumb and pull about three-fourths of
it back out. Take your hand completely away (letting the device hang from your mouth
for just a second — to add some effect), then pull the whole device out with its new
colors showing. This move looks best when the HOT ROD is flipped as fast as possible —
practice it well.
2) THROUGH FIST
This is one of those basic moves that should become second nature to you. It takes a
little more practice than others to get smooth looking, so practice in front of a mirror.
With the back of your fist facing the spectator, hold the device between your thumb and
the inside curve of your closed first finger (the end of the device should be just inside the
closed fist). Push it through the fist completely, lifting your first, second, and third
fingers out of the way to make room for the thumb passing by. Put the device back at the
top of your closed fist and push it through again, but this time roll the device over with
your second finger at the same time your first finger is moving away for your thumb.
While you are moving your first finger and rolling the device with your second, turn
your fist over (palm up) and keep pushing the device through, showing both sides
having the same color, or letting it change colors (by not flipping it). It looks good to
repeat this move at least twice in a row.
3) SWING
This is FANTASTIC!! Hold the HOT ROD by one end with the opposite end sticking
straight up (fig. 1). Now let the free end swing in towards your palm, pivoting at the
point where you are holding it. Do this a few times to get the feel of the swing. You'll find
that it is best to use some good wrist action to get a sharp swing going. Now practice
flipping the HOT ROD by its end at the same time that you are swinging it. It is just the
basic flip, but does take some extra concentration. The best way to learn this is to just
practice it.
                                             7
4) D
Hold the device by its ends between the tips of your first finger and thumb (it should
look kinda like a capital "D") (fig. 2). With your second finger, practice flipping the
device. (The placement of the second finger is natural — just rest the tip of your second
finger on the inside left edge of the HOT ROD and pull the finger in towards your palm
— the device should turn nicely, using both ends as pivot points.) Now all you need to do
is practice turning your hand over while at the same time spinning the device, so you
can show both sides being the same color. It tends to be quite effective, especially when
your are around those that know the paddle move.
5) LITTLE D
The same move as above, except hold the HOT ROD on either edge near one end
between your thumb and first finger, with the back of your hand facing out (the other
end of the device should point downwards). Swing your whole hand so that the device is
moving back and forth like a pendulum. As you are swinging the device, close your
thumb and first finger together, which flips the device around. (Your second finger will
naturally help hold the HOT ROD in place.) This move is a good example of the variety
of different looking moves you can create from other moves.
6) WHEEL
In your left hand, hold the device by its edges near the middle. Place the first finger of
your right hand on the tip of the HOT ROD and push the device end over end (fig. 3),
letting the middle edges be the axis paints. Carry the tip of your finger completely over
with the end of the device so that by the time the end you are pushing is pointing the
opposite way, your whole finger is completely covering the HOT ROD. This is the crucial
                                            8
step — when the device is covered by your finger, use your thumb and that finger to flip
it over, then instantly slide that finger to the end opposite the one it was pushing, and
continue pushing the device end over end. (The HOT ROD has just been turned
completely over once — being flipped to show both sides of the device being the same.)
This move should be done very casually while you are telling your story of the HOT
ROD. Don't try to show everyone what you are doing — just start turning the device over
and over showing both sides. By not bringing any attention to this move, you create a
strong image of the HOT ROD actually being the same on both sides. This is a good
move, and should be practiced until it becomes second nature to you.
7) THROW IN AIR
Hold the HOT ROD along its edges. Swing your arm up and down from the elbow and
gently toss the HOT ROD into the air so that it turns around, but doesn’t flip to reveal
the other side. Practice this until you can throw the HOT ROD without fear of it flipping
in midair. When you catch the device, cup your hand just a little, and catch the HOT
ROD right at the curve of your fingers. If you don’t grab the device, it will do a natural
little quick flip to the opposite side, making the change very visual. Try this a few times.
This is a good move, but can be risky if you don't practice the throw enough.
8) PUSH VANISH
Hold the HOT ROD by one of its ends between your second finger and thumb. Make a
fist with your other hand, and pretend to insert the HOT ROD between the thumb and
first finger (fig. 4). What you are really doing is putting the free end of the device on the
thumb of your fist, and as you are "pushing" the device into your fist, it is really going
back into the hand that is holding it (towards the palm).
                                             9
When the entire device is hidden in your hand, take your fist away as if it really held the
HOT ROD. Turn your fist over, palm up, and casually turn your body away from the
audience so you can drop the device into your pocket or wherever. Show the device to
have vanished, take your applause, and move onto other things. A good line here is that
"you have to be careful not to turn the entire device INSIDE-OUT, or else you may lose it
completely."
9) THUMB PALM
Clip one of the HOT ROD’s ends at the fleshy part of your thumb so that it extends kinda
across your palm. Show the back of your hand with fingers spread wide to your
audience, reach into the air and grab the device between your first and second fingers —
and presto! you have made a HOT ROD appear.
Hold the HOT ROD between your first two extended fingers. Reach in with your other
hand to take the device away, and by doing so, cover the device completely. While the
device is covered by your other hand, bend your first two fingers back and grab hold of
the device in the THUMB PALM position (the HOT ROD never leaves the hand that is
holding it). When you are holding the device firmly, close your second hand as if it were
taking the HOT ROD away. Display the empty second hand as if it held the HOT ROD
while at the same time you dispose of the device. This is a good vanish to remember
when doing impromptu work.
                                            10
13) ONE IN EACH HAND
If you can get a hold of two HOT RODS (or any other color—change rods) you can have a
lot of fun by holding one in each hand between your first finger and thumb. Coordinate a
quickie routine by having the colors jump back and forth from one hand to the next,
then have both devices become the same color and start changing back and forth that
way. When performing this, you can get a good reaction if you sway your hands in little
circles to add effect. The only catch is that you must learn how to flip the device in the
hand that you are not used to using. It will feel uncomfortable at first, but the effect is
well worth it.
If effect number 13 appeals to you at all, then this one will also. Hold two HOT RODs
just slightly apart in one hand between your first finger and thumb. They need to be
about half a centimeter apart for this to work. Simply execute the basic paddle move
with both devices changing at the same time. The effect is astounding. (You will find that
you must hold your thumb flatter so it will touch both devices.) With a little practice you
can learn to slightly let go of the inside device while clipping the outer device more
strongly so that just the loose inside HOT ROD will flip over, thus making the devices
change colors at different times, but in the same hand. (It takes little up and down jerks
of your hand.) Even the pros will applaud this move. PRACTICE.
15) LOCK
On rare occasion you will come across someone who knows about the paddle move, or
who will simply rationalize that you are flipping the device. How then do you proceed to
amaze these people with your dexterity? Simple. Learn this move.
With your palm up, hold the device by one end between your thumb and first finger with
the device’s free end extending towards your pinky. Practice flipping the device this way
a few times. When you can do it well, hold the device the same way, except this time pull
your second finger to the top side of the device (where your thumb is) and press down a
bit the device is supported by your first and third fingers pressing up from the bottom,
and your second finger pressing down from the top. Take your thumb away and move
your pinky back (fig. 5). Show the side of the device with your palm up, then simply turn
your hand over to show the other side being the same as the first. When you are turning
your hand over, QUICKLY bring your thumb into play and flip the device as you
practiced earlier. As soon as the device is flipped, shoot your thumb back to where it was
when you started. Your audience will see the thumb move, but it should go so fast that
they won't suspect anything. This is perhaps the single best move possible. Practice it
until it becomes second nature, then practice it till you get it right.
                                            11
16) RUBBER
Remember how when you were a kid you amazed your friends by showing them your
pencil gyrating as if it were made of rubber? Well do the same thing with the HOT
ROD!! It is refreshing to just play with the device on occasion. Hold it in the middle and
loosely wave your hand up and down. The device will take on a rubbery look. A good
patter is to talk about "mesmerizing" your audience into thinking the device changes
colors. This is cute.
To finish a routine, explain to your audience that if you wanted to you could turn the
device half way around so that it is multi-colored on one side and single-colored on the
other. Hold the device in the center and give it a fourth of a turn, make a magic move
with your hand, then give the HOT ROD to someone to examine — as if making both
sides look different was a trick in itself. Because the audience gets to examine the HOT
ROD in the end, they are more confused. This is an excellent way to end a routine.
                                           12
                    Tricks With Household Items
The following list of tricks all involve a switch. To switch the HOT ROD for something
else, you need to first steal a load into your right hand while you are displaying the
device in your left (this is why it is good to learn how to perform with both of your
hands). Most of the items that you come up with on your own will probably be easy
enough to thumb palm as explained in chapter C, section 9. In essence, just thumb palm
the item that you want to switch with the HOT ROD. With your right fingers held
together to cover the device, clip the HOT ROD between the first finger and thumb of
your right hand, while at the same time clip the new item with the thumb and first finger
of your left hand. Keep the HOT ROD concealed as you are presenting the new item,
then drop it in your pocket or elsewhere. There are many ways to switch devices, but this
one is basic and easy to do, though you need to find the misdirection and hand moves
that fit you best. The following sections describe various items you can use to switch the
HOT ROD for. Each switch is a fine effect by itself for one reason or another but serves
best when used as a transitory effect between routines. Consider how you can best use it
while practicing.
1) TO A PRETZEL
Make the simple switch to a short, straight pretzel. Immediately hand the pretzel to a
member of your audience. More than likely they will begin to examine it closely, and
soon convince themselves that it is not a real pretzel, but rather that it is a mechanical
wonder. All you have to do now is grab the pretzel back and eat it to everyone’s
amazement. If an audience member decides that he is hungry and eats it first, you can
go into shock like "You ate my HOT ROD!!" to everyone’s delight. This is cuteness at its
best.
2) TO A ROLLED BILL
If you do any kind of money tricks, try this one out with the HOT ROD. Switch the
device for a rolled dollar bill, unroll it then do what you do best with it (switch for
quarters, torn and restored bill, pay the check, whatever). This is good only at the end of
a HOT ROD routine leading into other routines.
3) TO PAPER
Make the switch to a piece of paper that is either multi-colored or single-colored like
your device. As you are getting rid of the HOT ROD, keep the paper concealed behind
your fingers and quickly twist your hand back and forth for effect (as if you were
screwing in a lightbulb). Keep the paper pressed tightly between your thumb and along
your first finger, and slowly pull it out, as if you were pulling it out of the actual HOT
ROD. Show all sides of the paper and that the HOT ROD is gone, then you can move into
the basic HOT ROD effect by switching the paper for a different paper. There is good
potential here.
                                            13
4) TO A CIGARETTE
Make the switch to a cigarette, light it and walk away. This makes a good, casual finish
to the HOT ROD and introduces any cigarette effects you may know (going smoothly
from routine to routine).
5) TO A SILK
Get a silk that is the same color of the single colored side of your HOT ROD. Roll it into
a tight ball and switch it for the HOT ROD either before or after you make it change to
the "chosen" color. This is a nice flashy way to move into other kinds of tricks (like
color— changing silk tricks) when you’ve finished your HOT ROD routine.
6) THROUGH SILK
This one does not use a switch. When the color jewel is chosen, pull out a silk (or be a
magician and produce one from nowhere) and drape it over your fist. Push the center of
the silk into your fist so that you form a pocket. At the same time, open your fist a little
so that the back edge of the silk falls through and the pocket runs all the way down and
out (like a hole). Push the HOT ROD "through" the silk (as a penetration effect), and as
it is going through, turn it over so that it changes to the same color as the silk/chosen
color. Later you can use the silk and HOT ROD together for a variety of changes and
vanishes.
                                            14
Tricks made with things found around the house
This section introduces some very clever ideas that have been used by magicians in
connection with the HOT ROD for some years now. Each of them requires some simple
preparation, and the effect that each one produces is often astounding. Some of these
are little routines by themselves, and all of them lead directly into various other routines
that you can continue to amaze your friends with. The first effects discussed utilize the
switch that was explained in section D.
1) TO EXTRA-LONG ONE
Get a small piece of balsa wood close to the shape of your HOT ROD, and make a HOT
ROD that is twice the length of the one you perform with. Execute the switch, then
slowly pull the long HOT ROD out of your hand. The effect is nice and neat.
2) TO 12 LITTLE ONES
This has been used by many performers. Make about a dozen half-inch HOT RODs and
switch them to your regular HOT ROD. (You don’t really need to make them with little
jewels, just get the colors right.) You can introduce this effect by asking several people
what colors they want (you will get several different answers). When you open your
hand to show the dozen tiny HOT RODs, all of the colors that are mentioned will be
there — and everyone will be shocked and happy. Make each HOT ROD one solid color,
but also make them multi-colored so that you can go into a routine with the tiny HOT
RODs. This is a lot of fun.
3) TO 12 JEWELS
Go to your local hobby and craft shop and purchase a dozen or so plastic jewels either all
the same color or different colors. You can switch the HOT ROD to the jewels, or switch
the dozen tiny HOT RODs (effect number 2) to the jewels (which is a real stunner!!).
This effect is a real winner!
This is one of the most clever ways to amaze people. Get a shot glass and a rubber ball
that will fit snugly into its mouth. Drive a nail through a piece of cloth and the ball, so
that you can pin the ball inside your coat via a safety-pin through the cloth (fig. 6). Fill
the shot-glass with an appropriate color drink and secure it inside of your coat on the
ball. While you are demonstrating the amazing powers of the HOT ROD, pull a bandana
from your coat pocket and casually wipe the HOT ROD clean. While you are cleaning the
HOT ROD, drape the bandana completely over your hand and device. Using this as a
shield, steal the HOT ROD into your other hand and reach into your coat to retrieve the
shot-glass from the toy ball. Get rid of the device, then make the drink appear from
                                            15
under the cloth. You can either drink the drink or have someone choose the color before
you make the switch and produce the same color drink. This is sophisticated stuff.
5) TO COLORED ROPE
If you work at all with ropes, especially the ropes to silks, this is a good way to lead into
it. Simply switch the HOT ROD to a length of rope the same as the color you are forcing.
Make the rope as long as you can easily palm (at least a foot and a half). You can also
have a multi-colored rope to switch for and create an elaborate HOT ROD/ROPE
routine!
Fill a cigarette with colored paper that matches the color jewels on the solid side of your
HOT ROD. Make the switch to the cigarette and then crumple it to show that you did
indeed come up with the right color. This is cute.
Get some elastic from a sewing store (try for some like you have seen on average pulls),
and also get a clip from a stationary store (something you can easily press onto the HOT
ROD while keeping it concealed in your hand) this will only cost a couple of dollars.
Make a "pull" by tying the clip to one end of the elastic and a safety-pin to the other end
(fig. 7). Attach the pull inside your coat, and when you are ready to use it, stretch the clip
out and press it onto the HOT ROD, let go, and presto!, the HOT ROD changes colors
then vanishes right before your eyes.
                                             16
8) BREAK AND RESTORED
Sew a toothpick in the hem of a bandana. Wrap the HOT ROD With the bandana, feel
for the toothpick and snap it in half, making as loud a noise as you can. You can then
either restore the HOT ROD to its normal self or slip it into your pocket to make it
vanish. Work with this one to get all you can out of it. This is good with the proper story.
9) FIRE CHANGE
From your local magic dealer buy some flash paper. Show the multi-side of the HOT
ROD, have the color chosen, then wrap the device with some flash paper. As you are
wrapping it, turn it over so the single-colored side is on top. Lay the covered HOT ROD
down and set it on fire. The effect is elaborate as the flames clear and the device is seen
to have changed to the chosen color. Move straight into a HOT ROD routine after this.
                                            17
                            Tricks and Routines
1) MISER'S DREAM
Wouldn't it be interesting to suddenly start producing countless HOT RODs from
nowhere? Each time one appears, you wave it and make its jewels change to the chosen
color. All you need is two HOT RODs and some kind of bag to pretend to put them in.
Each time you "put" one in the bag, you just thumb or finger palm it back out to produce
later. Also, keep an ongoing run of various items appearing. Like cigarettes, pieces of
HOT ROD shaped paper, colored-rope, and shot-glasses. Just go back and scan the
effects where a switch is involved and work out a continuous routine of making them
appear and disappear — all based on the simple switch.
2) SIGNED CARD
Have someone select a card from a deck and sign their name across it. Work this card to
the top of the deck (you can have them put it in the middle, get a finger break there, and
cut it to the top), palm the card off while at the same time you hand the deck to a
spectator to shuffle. As he is shuffling the deck, drop your hand (with their card) into
your pocket and proceed to fold and roll the card up bit by bit. Let the spectator keep
shuffling the deck while you turn your attention back to the HOT ROD. Tell how it can
also be used as a divining rod and that it will reveal the very card that was chosen and
signed. Spread the deck out and wave the HOT ROD over it. Finger palm the rolled and
folded card out and switch it to your left hand. Execute the "push vanish" (section C,
number 8) which makes it look like you are pushing the HOT ROD into your hand, but
you are really keeping it to drop in your pocket. Open the hand that is supposed to have
the HOT ROD to reveal the rolled and folded card that happens to be the very card that
they selected and signed. They will more than likely go through the deck to see if the
original card is there, but of course it isn’t. This is an absolute mind blower.
3) PAPERFOLD VANISH
Lay a piece of paper about 20 centimeters square on a flat surface. Place the HOT ROD a
little above center on the paper, and fold the top edge of the paper down over the HOT
ROD. Fold the left and right edges in over the device, then pick up the paper covered
HOT ROD. You will notice that because the bottom edge has not been folded up, the
HOT ROD can easily be slid out of the paper, leaving the impression that it is still in the
paper. Tilt the front of the paper up a little so that the HOT ROD slides into your hand.
Drop it into your lap while you proceed to fold the bottom edge of the paper up to
supposedly encase the HOT ROD. Now it’s up to you to make the device disappear
however you please. This is a sharp little effect.
                                            18
4) IN EAR, OUT NOSE
Use the push vanish from section C, number 8, and pretend to push the HOT ROD into
your ear (really you are keeping it in your hand). Instantly reach around to your mouth,
stick the tip of the HOT ROD between your lips, then slide your hand off the HOT ROD
as if you were just pulling it from your mouth. Of course your audience will realize all
that you did (but then again, maybe they won’t), but the effect does look good. Think
about snorting the HOT ROD out of your nose, or pulling it from your elbow. This
should be fast and cute.
5) ENVELOPE FORCE
Perhaps the most important step with the HOT ROD is the force of the color of the
single-colored side. If you want to make the regular HOT ROD trick more of a routine,
get six colored cards that correspond to the six colored jewels on the HOT ROD (or six
index cards with the colors written on them) and place them in envelopes. Mix the
envelopes up, but remember which one has the card that corresponds to the single-
colored side. Lay them down in a row, then do the basic HOT ROD force of either
spelling or counting the number chosen by the spectator. This makes it more of a
routine so your audience will enjoy YOU more.
This is the same as number 5 except that you leave out the envelopes. The reason that I
mention this is because I saw a magician use this force once with good results, and I
think it was because of the bright colors that were laid out in front of the audience. It
certainly looked impressive.
7) THREE OF HEARTS
Most HOT RODs use red as the single color. If you are doing any kind of card tricks
before you move into your HOT ROD routine, force the Three of Hearts whichever way
you know best, on someone, then correlate the HOT ROD effect with that card. This
makes for a good transition.

The following is a sample of how you can incorporate some ideas and effects discussed
in this book to boggle the minds of your friends. Although the patter mentioned is not
detailed, it should steer you in the right direction if you choose to do more than the
boring flip flip flip of the basic HOT ROD trick. Naturally you don’t have to do any of
this as is described, just ENJOY!
Take out the HOT ROD and begin the WHEEL MOVE (sec. C, #6). Don’t pretend to
show the HOT ROD yet, but make sure everyone sees it.
"I came across an interesting little thing the other day. It’s this piece of plastic with six
different colored jewels on each side."
Do a few paddle moves, then execute the MOUTH MOVE (sec. C, #1).
"Do you see? The whole thing takes on the characteristics of your chosen color."
Push one end in your ear, pull it out of your mouth (sec. F, #4) showing the multi-
colored side.
Display the silk. Lift your knee and pull the multi-colored HOT ROD from behind it.
Drop the silk on your table.
"flat red..."
Switch for a piece of red paper (sec. D, #3), then pull the HOT ROD out of your mouth.
"longer red..."
                                             20
"even longer red..."
Switch the long HOT ROD for a piece of rope (sec. E, #5). If you can get a rope to silk
(check your magic dealer), change the rope into a silk, and pull the HOT ROD from
under it.
Switch the tiny HOT RODs for a handful of red jewels (sec. E, #3). Roll them onto the
table. Pull the HOT ROD from a friend’s ear. Pull out a bandana to clean the HOT ROD.
Switch for the shot glass of red drink (sec. E, #4). Drink it, then snort the HOT ROD
back out of your mouth.
Lay the HOT ROD down and have someone pick a card from a deck. Do the signed card
effect (sec. F, #2). At the end of the trick, pull the HOT ROD from your pocket, and lay it
on the table with the multi-colored side up. Show a gold colored pencil on all sides. Do
the pencil change effect (sec. E, #10). At the end of the effect, break the pencil in half
and switch one end for a second HOT ROD. Do a quick routine with both HOT RODs
(sec. C, #13;14). Then tuck one in your pocket, moving into a miser's routine (sec. F, #1).
Doing the miser’s routine, produce about six HOT RODs, each HOT ROD changes
colors. Switch one for a silk, lay the silk down over the other half of the broken pencil.
Work with the other HOT ROD in your other hand (do the lock and swing moves) (sec.
C, #15;3) while you are switching the broken pencil for the second HOT ROD.
Lift the silk to show the HOT ROD. Use the silk and that HOT ROD to switch for another
shot glass, and switch the other HOT ROD for a pretzel (sec. D, #1). Have a snack, then
take your bow.
From this description of a short routine you can get an idea of how to use several effects
discussed in the book to go on and on. Nothing in this book is hard, but to get a good
reaction you have to work not only on the effects, but on your story. The story makes the
difference by offering rhyme and reason. But most importantly — because it is more
unique. Have fun!
