Brainstorming: Elevator Pitch Activity

An elevator pitch is a quick, clear explanation of a product, lasting about the length of an
elevator ride. The goal is to capture attention and give a basic understanding of your product
without overwhelming details.

Activity objective: To help you refine your advertisement idea, you will deliver a 60-second
elevator pitch to sell your product to me, a potential investor. This activity will help you think
critically about your product, its target audience, and why it is needed.

Instructions:

1. Prepare Your Pitch: Write a short, persuasive speech (no more than 60 seconds) that
introduces your product and convinces me why I should invest in it.
2. Include These Key Elements:
o Product Name & Description: What is your product, and what does it do?
o Target Demographic: Who is this product meant for? Consider age, interests,
lifestyle, or any other relevant characteristics.
o Need & Appeal: Why does your target demographic need this product? How will
it benefit them?
3. Practice Your Delivery: Your pitch should be clear, engaging, and confident.
4. Present to me: You will deliver your pitch to receive feedback so that you can refine
your advertisement.

Example Elevator Pitch:

"Imagine never having to untangle your headphones again! Introducing TidyTunes, a self-
retracting earphone case designed for students and commuters who are always on the go. Our
target audience—teenagers and young adults—constantly struggle with tangled cords, wasting
time and frustration. With TidyTunes, you simply press a button, and your earphones retract
neatly. This product is affordable, portable, and a game-changer for anyone who loves music. So,
are you ready to invest in a world without tangled headphones?"
