Maintenance Manager

Key responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing maintenance strategies and procedures that minimize
equipment downtime and operational disruptions.
- Supervising and managing the maintenance team to ensure that all maintenance activities are
performed efficiently and in compliance with safety standards.
- Conducting regular inspections and audits of facilities and equipment to identify areas for
improvement and compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Managing maintenance-related budgets, ensuring cost efficiency while maintaining high
standards of equipment and facility upkeep.
- Liaising with external contractors and suppliers to acquire high-quality services and materials
for maintenance projects.
- Implementing continuous improvement initiatives that enhance maintenance procedures and
reduce costs.
- Ensuring that all building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and structural
components, are functioning efficiently and safely.
- Planning and scheduling preventive and corrective maintenance work.
- Ensuring that all maintenance work is documented according to internal and external
requirements.
- Monitoring the inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies, planning re-orders to avoid
delays in maintenance activities.
- Training and developing maintenance staff to enhance their skill sets and efficiency.
- Responding promptly to emergency situations involving equipment breakdowns, mitigating
potential hazards or interruptions.
- Implementing energy-saving measures and sustainability practices in maintenance operations.
General skills/experiences needed for the job:
- A Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or related field is
required.
- Extensive experience in maintenance, including a minimum of 3 years in a managerial role,
preferably in the manufacturing environment.
- Experienced in industrial hydraulic and pneumatic principles and their use on mechanical
systems.
- Proven track record of successfully managing budgets, teams, and medium-large-scale
maintenance projects.
- Strong understanding of compliance and safety regulations.
- Demonstrate excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills to effectually
guide the maintenance team and collaborate with other department leaders.
- Advanced in English, Italian knowledge is a plus.
- Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Maintenance software (DIMO
Maint is an advantage).
