ON-LINE COURSES TIPS
If you are in the on-line group, please read carefully the following tips, to spend
an enjoyable on-line teaching.
1) In Canvas, you will find the link for the on-line lecture. It will be the same
link for each session. To connect to Zoom link, it’s simple, just go to the
“Zoom” tab (see the red square in the picture below), a new page will
appear, then click on the link Zoom provided in the page.
2) When you are in the main Zoom room, please, respect these following
tips to enjoy the lesson:
ü Please, try to connect 5 min before the beginning of the lesson
(the lesson starts at ...:05, so try to be there at …:00. Don’t worry
if you cannot see me at :00, in general, I am already connected
but my camera and microphone are switch off. I wait all students
there.
ü When you arrived, don’t forget to write your full name into the
chat. It’s for the register for the administration.
ü When you are in the main room, please turn off your microphone
when you don’t speak. But, when you are in the breakout rooms,
please turn on your camera, if you can, and your microphone.
ü Use the chat to ask a question, tell you have a technical issue,
when you arrived late (with your full name), and when you have to
leave.
3) In case you have an issue Q&A:
Ø My camera doesn’t work anymore. => Try to restart the app and /
or the computer.
Ø I lost my Internet connection. => Restart the router and try again
to connect. Or, connect via your smartphone and your data
mobile. The most important, it’s participating.
Ø I have an issue with my microphone. => Participate via the Chat or
connect via your smartphone. Again, the most important, it’s
participating orally.
Ø It happens that the teacher has some technical problem since we
work from home with our own material. The connection can, for
example, be bad due to bad weather or simply because too many
people are connecting at the same time. This is rare, but don't
panic. On Canvas you will find everything you need to continue
working until my connection returns. Usually, if the connection
breaks, it only lasts a few minutes. In the Canvas page of the
course, I numbered in order the activities that we will do during the
session. I have also put in blue the activities that you can do in the
event of an internet cut. All you need to do is referring to the next
activity.
