Summary
Nampande Chisangano has over 10 years working experience in the Ministry of
health with expertise in Coordinating HIV Testing activities; HIV prevention
and priority, vulnerable and key populations; psychosocial counselling;
participatory, learning and action methodologies; Previously worked for USAID
SAFE and Ministry of Health as a Psychosocial counsellor- coordinating
Voluntary Counselling and Testing activities under Limulunga Rural Health
Centre catchment areas. She is a results-oriented person with passion for
executing other delegated roles as assigned by supervisors, very analytical,
creative and innovative person; a team player who is dedicated to work ethics
with exceptional communication, networking and critical thinking skills and
manages the art of handling a large case load by efficiently devoting a measured
amount of time to delivering quality work. In addition, I easily adopt in

Professional Experience

 October 2022 to September 2023
 Providing oversight and leadership in the planning, implementation and
  monitoring of project activities at the facility.
 Ensure continuous positive relationships & collaboration
 Provide mentorship to the Community Based Volunteers who are involved
  in HTS under SAFE to ensure high yield strategies (I.e. indexing and PNS),
 Spearheard the tracking exercise for defaulter clients on ART in order to
  improve retention.
 Creating demand for HIV services including Viral Load and ensure
  enhanced adherence counselling is provided.
 Compiling and submitting daily and weekly and monthly reports.
 Ensuring adherence counseling is provided to clients retained on ART.
 Coordinate CBVs to ensure that clients’ treatment and adherence is
  sustained, and retention rates are above 90 percent.
 Facilitate provision of logistics including tools, equipment and materials to
  volunteers to carry out facility and community outreach integrated activities.
 Support CBVs to ensure adolescent/youth friendly HIV services are
  available at the facilities and in the communities
 Work with the Strategic Information Assistant (SIA) and volunteer teams at
  facility level to conduct triangulation of client data in registers i.e. ensure
  clients are linked to appropriate services and are receiving services as per
  schedule
 Work with facility staff, volunteers, and key stakeholders to implement and
  monitor the execution of VMMC campaigns ensuring that HIV, TB/HIV,
  MNCH and FP services are integrated where appropriate
 Assemble, organize, and submit data on priority interventions ensuring that
  all records are kept up to date

  targets, trouble shooting and timely resolution of any gaps to ensure that

Psychosocial Counsellor; Ministry of Health, Limulunga Rural Health
Centre, Limulunga district. I coordinated HIV/AIDS activities under
Limulunga Rural Health catchment area.
    Manage Voluntary Counselling and testing activities at the facility and
     community, provide support and coaching to Community Health Workers
     and ensure HIV testing is conducted according to the National algorithm.
    Supervise community health workers and volunteers to ensure quality
     HIV testing.
    Integration of TB screening into HTC services:
    Screen for TB symptoms among PLHIV, with referral of non-suspect
     cases for IPT initiation at the health facilities,
    Refer suspect TB cases among PLHIV to health facilities for sputum
     exam and other diagnostic tests to ensure early identification of TB and
     prompt initiation of TB treatment.
    Mobilizing OPD clients for HIV testing uptake according to screening
     tools.
   Facilitating the targeted testing services to clients (indexing/PNS; PICT,
    CICT and hot spot testing).
   Ensure that all clients who are tested HIV positive are linked to HIV

   Provided pre and post- Voluntary HIV confidential counselling and
    testing, to all patients willing to have HIV test done.
   Performed the rapid HIV testing on all clients that consented to testing.
   Encouraged and supported patients that tested positive; helping them to
    cope and accept with new diagnosis.
   Ensured that all HIV positive clients are referred for ART services and
    appropriate care.
