BACKGROUND:
CIPK is implementing a 5 year orphans and vulnerable children (OVC) program dubbed Tujitegemee in
partnership with AMURT, which seeks to empower county-level OVC stakeholders to strengthen the formal
and infomal HIV and child protection systems and services and the linkages between them, including cross-
sectoral service referrals and co-ordination to ensure quality service delivery for OVC, caregivers and their
households.
JOB SUMMARY
As a key member of the LIP programming team in the county, you will monitor and report on all project
activities related to case management and service delivery with respect to OVC and their families in support
of TUJITEGEMEE’s work to ensure improved access to health and social services to the OVC and their
families. Your OVC service-oriented approach will ensure that the project consistently applies the new Case
Management approach to the delivery of quality and time bound services to the OVC and their families as
well as enhance their participation in their best interest to constantly work towards improving the impact of
the benefits to the project beneficiaries. You will be reporting to the LIP Project Coordinator, work and
coordinate closely with other TUJITEGEMEE Project staff, key staff from the relevant ministries,
Community Mother Mentors, Community Health Promoters and Link Desk Person to contribute to a
holistic, integrated, and comprehensive project implementation.
DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Support the coordination, implementation, and monitoring of all assigned project activities as
outlined in the LIP Detailed Implementation Plan in line with organizations principles and standards,
donor and GOK requirements, and good practices.
2. Monitor and report any challenges and/or gaps identified to inform adjustments to plans and
implementation schedules. Liaise with link health facilities to facilitate referrals and outreaches for
biomedical services and manage OVC clinical integration.
3. Support the project volunteers in their efforts to reflect on project experiences.
4. Collect and analyze project data per specified mechanisms and tools. Collaborate with other
organization staff and volunteers to prepare reports per established reporting schedule and guidelines.
5. Provide technical support and monitor capacity building and technical support activities to the
LCHVs, CHVs and Link Desk Persons to ensure effective and quality service provision.
6. Actively engage in identifying and documentation of project promising practices, case and human-
interest stories, dissemination and use of relevant knowledge in the field.
7. Represent the organization and TUJITEGEMEE project in meetings at county, sub county, ward and
locational levels, working groups, and other events as requested, to support forging relations with the
GOK, other stakeholders, the community and project beneficiaries.
8. Ensure accurate and timely reporting of all assigned project activities per donor and CIPK standards
and established schedules.
9. Ensure community case workers (CCWs – project volunteers) complete required case
management forms and ensure case filing system is developed and maintained.
10. Conduct joint support supervision with relevant GOK representatives to forge better working
relationships.
11. Conduct regular home visits with the CHVs to ascertain service provision to the project
beneficiaries as well as providing support to the volunteers.
12. Producing Monthly Ward Narrative and Data Reports, facilitating monthly review meeting with
Mentors, CHVs and facilitators.
13. Assist in office administrative issues, including records keeping, payments, and other key issues.
REOUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. A minimum of Diploma in Social Sciences, Community Development, or related field (with at least 2
years of relevant experience). Bachelor’s Degree is added advantage.
2. A minimum of 2-year experience implementing OVC programs with familiarity on PEPFAR guidance
and minimum service standards for OVC programming.
3. At least two years of progressive experience working in comprehensive HIV or GBV prevention, interventions
among adolescents and OVC programming.
4. Should be Computer Literate, work well with MS Word and MS Excel and Internet research
methods.
5. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, set priorities, work
independently and in a team environment.
6. Willingness to learn, tackle challenges and seek creative solutions in everyday
assignments.
7. Demonstrates well-developed interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills, both Verbal and
written.
8. Must be able to meet urgent and last-minute deadlines, work with grace under pressure, and function
well in a high-performance team.
9. Ability to ride motor bicycle will be an added advantage.
PROGRAM MONITORING & EVALUATION
Ensure that all activities are reported as per the M&E SOP.
Orient CMMs and CHVs on enrolment and service uptake documentation.
Work with the program M&E and Data assistant to track service delivery and data fidelity in CPMIS.
Track and implement graduation readiness for OVC in the program.
Assisting in data keying in, preparing activity reports and monthly reports in time for team reflection.
Responsible for all safeguarding issues in the site office.
Carry out any other duties as may be assigned by your supervisor from time to time.
Proficiency level
Able to clearly communicate in written and spoken English and Kiswahili
Travel Required
Up to 80% of travel time to Tujitegemee project coverage area.

Supervisory: CMMs/CHVs
External: Representatives of the GOK, LIPs, other stakeholders, and the community
Terms of Employment.
The successful candidate will be employed on contract basis with a possibility of extension subject to
availability of funds, satisfactory performance and need for the service. Current Police Clearance Certificate
