Development Studies, and 8 years’ experience in gender mainstreaming and analysis, Sexual Reproductive
Health (SRH) protection, Behavior change communications and human rights protection. After reviewing your
job description, it’s clear that you are looking for a candidate that is extremely familiar with the responsibilities
associated with the role and can perform them confidently. I am certain that I have the necessary skills,
competences, and knowledge to successfully do the job and perform above expectations.
Currently as a Gender and Inclusion Manager for Alight Uganda program, I have successfully designed and
implemented gender-sensitive programs tailored to the specific needs and challenges faced by refugee
populations, addressing issues such as gender-based violence (GBV), women's empowerment, access to sexual
and reproductive health (SRH) services, and livelihood opportunities. I have also ensured that gender
considerations are mainstreamed across all aspects of the intervention, including needs assessments, project
planning, budgeting, monitoring and evaluation, and reporting, resulting in more effective and inclusive
programming. Furthermore, I have worked collaboratively with community leaders, women's groups, youth
associations, and other stakeholders to strengthen community-based protection mechanisms, such as community
watch groups and referral networks, to prevent and respond to GBV and other protection concerns. I am
accustomed to successfully juggling multiple tasks and have an excellent track record of building new
audiences, forging strong relationships with clients, developing partnerships, and creating strategies. I believe
the major contributor to these successes is my talent as a persuasive communicator; someone who can speak to
