At Victory High School, Minh and Linh were getting ready for their big exam.

Linh had studied


hard, but Minh had not.
"Linh, let’s put off studying. The exam will be easy!" Minh said.
"You always say that," Linh sighed. "If we don’t pass, our parents will be very sad!"
Minh was still relaxing and say: “If I didn’t need to sit for this exam, I would very exciting!!!”
Just a few seconds later, the school speaker turned on.
"Students, today's exam is canceled due to an issue."
The whole class cheered, but Linh frowned. "That’s strange. They never cancel exams.
Something is wrong."

Later, Linh passed by the teacher’s office and heard Ms Duong talking to another teacher.
"We must not tell the principal. If the students find out, it will be a significant problem."
Linh’s heart started beating fast. She quickly called Minh.
"I think someone stole the exam papers!" she whispered.
Minh laughed. "That sounds like a movie! But who would do that?"
"I don’t know," Linh said, "but we need to find out."

That evening, they checked the school cameras with the support from Linh’s cousin, who
worked in security. The video showed a student sneaking into the teacher’s office and taking
the exam papers. Then, the person turned to the camera. It was Quan – their rich classmate
who always had expensive things and never studied.
The next day, Minh and Linh met Quan at a café.
"We know you took the exam," Linh said.
Bao sighed. "Fine. But I wasn’t alone. Someone students also wanted this exam gone."
"Who?" Minh asked.
Quan didn’t answer. He just gave them a USB drive. "Give this to Ms Duong. It has everything."
Minh shook his head. "If you had just studied, you wouldn’t have had to steal the exam!"
Quan returned the exam papers, but Ms Duong didn’t use it anymore, so the test was delayed
for two days. Minh and Linh used the time to prepare better. They studied together and asked
their teacher for advice. They said that. On exam day, Minh whispered, "Next time, let’s just
study instead of solving crimes."
