RULE No:7,8 &9 CONDITIONAL TENSES

A tense which is based on a condition is called a conditional tense. It has


two parts

1.If clause 2. Main clause


Ex: If you prepare well, you will get a good job.
If clause Main clause
There are three types of conditional tenses in English.

1. Possible conditional.

2. Improbable / Imaginary conditional.

3. Unfulfilled conditional.

1. Possible Conditional: If you give me 20 lakhs, I will go abroad for higher studies.
V1 Will +V1

2. Improbable or Imaginary: If you gave me 20 lakhs, I would go abroad for higher studies.
V2 Would +V1

3. Unfulfilled Conditional: If you had given me 20 lakhs, I would have gone abroad for higher studies.
Had + V3 Would +have + V3
