USE:
We use the Present Continuous
for actions happening NOW (when we are talking);
to talk about personal arrangements or plans in a near future (we often give the time, date
and/or place)
to express continuity;
with some expressions (NOW, AT PRESENT, AT THIS MOMENT).
We DO NOT use the present continuous with some verbs: TO BE, TO HAVE, TO KNOW, TO WANT, etc.
