EXTRUDED AND FORMED SECTIONS

1. General

A. This topic of Chapter 51 contains data concerning extrusions and formed


sections which are used throughout the aircraft structure and are autho
rized for repairs.

NOTE: Each sections in this topic is identified either by a part number


or specification number. In the case of specification number the
designation is given in the relevant Figure.

B. For location purpose the sections are listed alpha−numerically by stan


dard or specification in tabular form (Refer to Table 1). The table con
tains a reference to the figure on which the section data is given and
illustrated. The materials listed are also covered in Chapter 51−31−00
together with substitute materials.

C. Sections are listed as standards in the relevant identification tables of


SRM Chapter 52 thru 57.
D. Where doubt exists concerning the information given in this topic, the
information contained in the original standard is binding.
