C.R.E END OF TERM III EXAM 2024


SENIOR ONE
Time: 2 hours

Instructions:
 Answer all questions

ITEM 1
Tom stays in the village but during his third term holidays he was
invited by his uncle who lives in town to stay with them during the
holiday. During his stay in town he attended church in the city and found
out new practices of worship in these churches which are different from
the village churches. His uncle explained to him how important this
practices are.
Task
(a) What do you think are the new practices in the worship today
that Tom found out?
(b) Explain to Tom the importance of the new worship practices.

ITEM 2
Sarah is ten years, she grew up in a Christian family but while
growing up her parents used to prepare good meals like rice, meat,
matooke, chapatti on particular days and went to church on those days.
Those days were not on Sundays, Sarah wonders what those days are
and why do her parents celebrate them.
Task
(a) As a C.R.E student, help Sarah to understand those important
days celebrated by Christians
(b) Explain to her why they celebrate the days as Christians.

ITEM 3
Peter is a Christian but has a friend who does not know God. He has
a lot of question of who God is and wonders why people worship
someone they do not see.
Task
(a) As a C.R.E student explain to peter the attributes of God (the
nature of God).
(b) Explain to him why people worship God.

ITEM 4
A traditional healer has relocated to your community which is
Christian dominated. Christians in your community one day wake up
and set her shrine on fire, burning all her objects of worship. She has
approached the local council chairperson (LC1) for help.
The chairperson calls a meeting to seek your assistance in addressing the
situation.
Task
(a) As a Christian religious education student, write to the
community on the values promoted by the religions.
(b) Identify the similarities across the three religions.
