PROJECTS
Design and Fabrication of Composite Material | Under Graduate project at SRKR
Under the guidance of DR.K.S.Madhavarao, Associate Professor-SRKR
Project Duration: September’19-March’20
• This Material is made of epoxy resin, naturally available fibres such as coconut, banana, jute,
and sisal. We prepared testing Specimens and conducted load tests on them.
Finally, we made an industrial Helmet by hand layup process.
Metal matrix nanocomposites | Post Graduate project at AU
Under the guidance of Dr.P.Srinivasa rao , Professor &Chairman BOS-AU
• The main objective of this project is to enhance the Mechanical and Wear Properties of the
AA7050 by reinforcing nano TiO2 particles. We used the Stir casting process for the
fabrication and varied the percentage of composition 0,1,2,3 by fixing melting temperature,
stirring time, and preheating temperature. Then we started analyzing the obtained casting by
performing Vickers micro indentation hardness test, Tensile Test, Wear test, and material
characterization. We find properties are enhancing up to 2%, then they started decreasing.
INTERNSHIP
SUMMER INTERN | Dr. Narla Tata Rao Thermal Power Plant, Vijayawada
• It is one of the coal-based power plants in A.P. We understand the processes taking place in
the industry starting from coal Crushing, transport through Conveyor belts, and ball milling.
The number of units installed staring from 200 MW to 800 MW. Understand and interpret
the boilers, turbines, and cooling tower functioning. We also observed how they control
steam flow at different stages in the plant.
