IGT is seeking a Manager of Electrical Engineering Services to lead
and drive the electrical engineering functions that power the
development of cutting-edge gaming platforms. This role is
responsible for ensuring that projects are executed on time, within
budget, and meet the highest quality and compliance standards. The
Manager of Electrical Engineering Services will play a key role in
optimizing engineering processes and fostering innovation. This
position will also mentor a team of engineers, all while supporting
IGT’s mission to deliver world-class gaming technology that sets
industry standards.
Role in Strategy
Participates in the planning and management of electrical
engineering functions related to IGT’s gaming platforms.
Manages one or more technical laboratories including Safety
and EMC.
Assists the Hardware Engineering group in the
design/development/retrofit of all platforms and products from
the prototype stages through release by providing
EMC/Safety/DQA testing as driven by the NPI process.
Operates within the framework of IGT and the Engineering
division, supporting the achievement of budgetary, schedule,
operational, and product quality goals.
Translates near-term operating goals into actionable processes,
projects, and assignments to ensure.
Participates in the development of improved multi-departmental
processes and procedures to resolve escalated issues.
Participates in establishing resource requirements, budgets,
schedules, and performance standards.
Specific Accountabilities
Help establish EMC and Safety test goals and objectives for
assigned products and assist in setting project timelines and
milestones.
Contribute to project staffing estimates and monitor project
status.
Ensure efficient project management to deliver projects on
time, within budget, and with high quality.
Assist in creating testing and troubleshooting guidelines and
adjust designs and processes based on testing feedback.
Communicate and enforce company guidelines for design, EMC,
Safety, DQA, and electronic component testing.
Stay updated on industry trends and evaluate new
technologies.
Mentor and help develop electrical engineers and technicians.
Collaborates with Product Management, users, and customers
on EMC and Safety testing and compliance.
Regularly interacts with Engineering division managers to
ensure cooperation on processes and procedures.
Assessment of Work
Manages staff and third-party resources, including contract
engineers and manufacturers.
Develops, trains, and supports the team, reviewing performance
and supporting career development.
Participates in employment actions, performance plans, and
escalates issues to senior management.
Reviews work to ensure alignment with operating plans and
goals.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science,
or related field.
7-10 years in electrical engineering, PC design, development,
testing, and implementation of complex
circuits/platforms/EMC/Safety/DQA.
3-5 years of supervisory or management experience.
Knowledge of the gaming industry and regulations.
In-depth knowledge of electrical engineering, PC board design,
and testing of games and peripherals.
Understanding of regulatory requirements for EMC and Safety.
Strong grasp of electrical engineering lifecycles and systems.
Basic knowledge of Matrix and SAP systems.

At IGT, we consider a wide range of factors in determining
compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work
location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The
estimated starting compensation range is $76,179/yr - $180,000/yr.
The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The
Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective
bargaining agreements, where applicable.
Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles
may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are
eligible for discretionary bonuses . In addition, we offer employees a
