SAMPLE BRIEF

Thank you for agreeing to participate in this questionnaire as part of my psychology

investigation. This study aims to explore the role of social pressure in shaping body
image and its connection to eating behaviors. Your responses will help provide insight
into how societal beauty standards impact individuals’ self-perception and eating habits.

What will you be asked to do?

You will be asked a series of questions regarding your thoughts, experiences, and feelings
about body image and social influences. Most questions will focus on how often you
experience certain pressures or behaviors related to body image. Some questions will
present hypothetical scenarios, and you will be asked to provide your perspective on how
individuals may respond in those situations.

Ethical Considerations

1. Voluntary Participation & Right to Withdraw – Your participation is entirely voluntary.

You have the right to refuse to answer any question or withdraw from the study at any time
without providing a reason. There will be no negative consequences for doing so.

2. Confidentiality & Anonymity – Your responses will remain completely anonymous. You
will not be asked for your name or any personally identifiable information. Only demographic
details such as gender and age group will be collected for analytical purposes.

3. Informed Consent – By completing this questionnaire, you acknowledge that you

understand the purpose of the study and agree to participate. If you are under 18 years old,
parental consent may be required.

4. Data Protection & Storage – Your responses will be securely stored and will only be
used for research purposes. After one week, all questionnaires will be anonymized, and the
original copies will be destroyed to ensure data privacy.

5. Psychological Well-being – Some questions may touch on sensitive topics related to

body image and eating behaviors. If you feel uncomfortable at any point, you are free to skip
any question. If this questionnaire raises any concerns about your well-being, you are
encouraged to seek support from a trusted individual or professional resource.

How long will it take?

The questionnaire will take approximately a maximum of 20 minutes to complete. Once

completed, you may return it by submitting it.
