Your policy provides for payment of the actual cash value of your vehicle, less any applicable
deductible for your total loss. Actual cash value is generally determined by the age, condition,
equipment and mileage of your vehicle at the time the loss occurred.
To assist us in determining actual cash value, we consider information obtained by our
representatives, information provided by you, vehicle valuation services, and other sources. If
you have additional information you wish us to consider, or if you believe we have not correctly
determined the actual cash value of your vehicle, please contact us.

In exchange for completion of appropriate title documents, payment for the above amount in
settlement of your Comprehensive claim will be sent to you electronically. Please look for a
separate email from State Farm with instructions on selecting your payment method and
accepting your electronic payment. If the electronic payment is not accepted within 3 days, a
paper check will be automatically issued and sent to you, which takes 7-10 days.

1. Register/Log in to www.statefarm.com®
• For new accounts, you’ll need your claim number to register.
2. Click on your claim under My Account Summary.
3. Click Get started in the Opt-in to digital payments section under Next Steps.
4. Select your preferred email address and preferred mobile number.
5. Click Opt-In to digital payments.
Check your email frequently to see when payments are issued. Once a payment is issued, you
will need to approve the payment to accept the funds.
If your vehicle is incurring storage charges we will pay these costs through 05/01/2024. Any
charges thereafter will be your responsibility. In order to avoid any unnecessary out of pocket
costs to you, it is important to;
1) Move the vehicle on your own to a storage free location or
2) Allow State Farm® to move your vehicle to a storage free location. If this is your wish,
please call the facility where your vehicle is located to provide permission for State Farm
to move it (some facilities require written authorization). Remove your personal items
and notify State Farm when the vehicle is ready to be moved
You are not surrendering ownership rights or agreeing to a settlement by allowing your
vehicle to be moved to a storage free location.
Your covered rental is authorized through NO COVERAGE or when your policy limits are
reached, whichever comes first. Any charges thereafter will be your responsibility.
Enclosed is a checklist of documents and/or items you will need to return to us. Instructions and
samples are included for your reference.
Now that your vehicle has been determined a Total Loss, contact your local State Farm® Agent
to discuss your policy.
