DECISION
This is a complaint filed by plaintiffs Vicente "Tito" Castelo
Sotto III (Tito), Marvic "Vic" Castelo Sotto ( Vic), Jose Ma. "Joey"
Ramos De Leon (Joey), and Jeny Perea Ferre (Jeny) for unfair
competition and copyright infringement against defendants
Television and Production Exponents, Inc. (TAPE) and GMA Network,
Inc. (GMA).

Plaintiffs Tito, Vic and Joey were hosts of the famous television
noontime show Eat Bulaga since its maiden airing on 30 July 1979.

Prior to that, Antonio Tuviera (Tuviera) approached Tito, Vic

and Joey to convince them to create a noontime show that will
compete with the then top-rating noontime show in Channel 9,
"Student Canteen".

Plaintiffs Tito, Vic and Joey were seasoned TV personalities

having previously come from a gag show "OK Lang'' which aired in
Inter-Island Broadcasting Corporation (IBC 13).

When IBC 13 was bought by Roberto Benedicto, OK Lang was

not made part of the acquisition. Joey, thus, became part of the show
"Discorama" which aired in GMA 7.
