I. Objectives:
At the end of 50 minutes, the grade 3 students should have;
a. identify the distributive property of multiplication over addition;
b. solve the distributive property of multiplication over addition; and
c. value the importance of distributive property of multiplication over addition.
II. Subject Matter
Topic : Distributive Property of Multiplication over Addition
References: Mathematics 3 (kagamitan ng mag aaral Sinugbuanong Binisaya)
Materials: Book,powerpoint,laptop,projector,video
III. Procedure:
a) Daily Routine
Prayer
Greetings
Checking of Attendance
b) Motivation
Hep-Hep/Hooray
The teacher will group the student by row. When the teacher said hep-hep
the students will clap their hands and hooray raise their hands. Those
students who did not follow will answer the problem.
2x2=4
3x2=6
4x5=20
6x3=18
c) Lesson Proper
The teacher let the student to watch a video about distributive property in
multiplication.
(Video)
1. What is Distributive Property over Multiplication over Addition?
Can be used when you multiply a number by a sum.
For Example,suppose you want to multiply 3 by the sum of 10 + 2.
3(10 + 2) =?
d) Application
Board work with traffic signal
The teacher will discuss the lesson and explain the procedure of activity
and the traffic signals . The teacher will group the students into two
groups. Each group will choose 5 representative and given 15 minutes to
solve the problem on the board.

Buluhaton 1: Ipares ang product sa column B ngadto sa column A.
GROUP 1
Column A Column B
2(4+5)+3(5+2)= 34
5(2+5)+ 4(6+2)= 81
7(2+8)+1(9+2)= 100
9(3+5)+2(5+9)= 39
2(2+3)+2(6+6)= 98
GROUP 2
Column A Column B
2(3+4)+3(6+3)= 78
5(3+6)+ 4(1+2)= 38
7(2+4)+1(4+5)= 65
9(3+3)+2(5+7)= 40
2(4+3)+2(2+6)= 57
IV. Evaluation
Buluhaton: Ihatag ang product sa mo sunod gamit ang Distributive Property
Over Additon.
