The Notes
Sarah loves her mother very much. One day, Sarah's mother had to travel for work. "I do not want
to go," her mother said. "I will miss you too much!" Sarah also did not want her mother to go.
Then, she had an idea. She went to her room, sat at her desk, and wrote out seven notes, one for
each day her mother would be gone. While her mother was packing, she put the notes into the bag.
When her mother was at the hotel, she opened her bag. She found the notes. Sarah's mother opened
the envelope of day one. It said: You're the best Mom in the world. Thank you for working so hard.
If I were there, I would give you the biggest cuddle in the world. Opening her notes each day was
the best part of the trip for Sarah's mom. When she got home after seven days, she told Sarah, "I
have the best daughter in the world. Thank you for writing those notes!" Sarah was happy to see
her mother.
