Heart Of Gold

In a village far away, there lived a poor woodcutter, Jamal. He went into the forest to look
for firewood. Then he tied the wood and sold them at the market. He could only sell a few of
them in a day. He bought some food for his family using the money he got.

One day, he went into the forest as usual. He had cut a few stacks of firewood and as he was
going home, he heard a sound near a big tree. He went to have a look. He saw a little yellow
bird. It had hurt its wing and could not fly. It looked so sad. Having a heart of gold, Jamal
took the bird home.

He kept the bird until it was well. The bird was very happy and sang for Jamal. It was the
sweetest song that he had ever heard. The next morning, Jamal brought the bird to the
market. The bird stood on his arm and sang a song. Many people came and watched the bird.
He was able to sell more and more firewood. Jamal was no longer poor.
