PORTFOLIO
TVL-GRADE 12 ALS
Track/Grade/Section
2024-2025
School Year
Before we immerse into the workplace we will first understand the immersion
process, proper work ethics, workplace safety, confidentiality, and effective conflict
resolution and teamwork skills, as agreed in the DepEd Order No. 30 s. 2017. Also, we need
to hone our skills in writing a resume, filling of application forms, and complying
requirements.
Learner’s Activity
You will also prepare and accomplish own portfolio and update it from time to time
because at the end of the work immersion you will need to present this portfolio. Make sure
to attach needed documents, answer reflection leaf and paste pictures. Happy working!
Work is on your way. Are you prepared to work? Do you have the potential,
character, talents, and skills to take up the vigor of being a worker? What should you
possess to become a good worker? How will you prepare for work immersion?
As an ALS student has been a unique and challenging one, but it has also equipped
me with a diverse skill set that I believe is highly valuable in the workplace. Unlike
traditional schooling, the ALS program demands a high degree of self-discipline, time
management, and independent learning. These skills are not only crucial for academic
success but also translate directly into the professional world, where the ability to work
independently, prioritize tasks, and manage one's time effectively is essential. Furthermore,
the ALS experience has fostered in me a deep appreciation for continuous learning and a
willingness to seek out new knowledge and skills. This lifelong learning approach is crucial
in today's rapidly evolving job market, where adaptability and a commitment to professional
development are highly valued.
In addition to these core skills, my ALS experience has also provided me with
opportunities to develop other valuable attributes. For example, I've learned to overcome
obstacles and persevere through challenges, developing a strong sense of resilience. I've
also learned to collaborate effectively with others, even in virtual settings, enhancing my
teamwork and communication skills. These experiences have not only prepared me for the
demands of the workplace but have also instilled in me a confident and proactive approach
to problem-solving and decision-making. I am confident that my unique background and the
skills I have honed through my ALS education will make me a valuable asset to any team. I
am eager to contribute my skills and learn from experienced professionals in a real-world
work setting.
Lastly, learning more about the job I’m interested in, is an another goal. I want to
use what I learn in school in a real job.
After the pre-immersion orientation, list the Do’s and Don’ts employed in the
workplace you are assigned.

Historical Background
BRIEF HISTORY OF THE FARM
The farm came into existence sometime in the 1960s. It was during the
administration of the late Honorable Felipe Garduque and Mr. Bonifacio Espejo
who were then the Provincial Governor and the Provincial Agriculturist,
respectively. It started as a convergence area for technology demonstration of
projects in the provincial level undertaken by the Bureau of Agricultural
Extension, Bureau of Plant Industry, Bureau of Soils, Bureau of Animal Industry,
and other agencies which mandate are towards agricultural development. From
that year onwards, it became an institution where the latest technologies on
crops and animal production were showcased, benefiting the Cagayano farmers.
RA 7160, the Local Government Code of 1990 granted the full authority
to the Provincial Government of Cagayan for the operation and management of
the farm. The late Honorable Rodolfo Aguinaldo was then the Governor and Mr.
Edilberto Fragante was the helmsman of the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist.
Consequently, the animal production program was transferred and spearheaded
by the Office of the Provincial Veterinarian, a mandatory department created by
virtue of RA 7160. On the same year, the fisheries development program was
