The basics of wardrobe planning

1 Regardless of a wardrobe's beauty

and fashion, it's a systematic process,

not just a collection of random clothes.
Creating a wardrobe is quite complex,

2
multifaceted, and time-consuming.
When it comes to building an

ideal wardrobe, YOU are the

most important landmark. Or rather,
your dreams, desires, temperament,
life experiences, lifestyle, and your

3
appearance.
A perfect wardrobe should

meet all your needs. Basically,

you should have something to wear at
all times. And your outfits will be
created quickly, easily, and managed.

04
Creating a wardrobe -
the way you want it
As already mentioned, the process of dressing
a wardrobe requires a systematic approach.
There are four easy-to-achieve methods for
creating your ideal wardrobe, let's take a look.

05
Basic wardrobe
with accents
There are only a few basic items in this
wardrobe. In terms of cut, color, and style,
there are about 15-30 items. Combining
them with other items in your wardrobe is
easy.

In this case, the

wardrobe consists
of basic things.

06
Capsule wardrobe
As part of this wardrobe approach, several situational capsules are included for each
season and occasion. About 20-30 sets can be created from a capsule wardrobe
consisting of 7-10 items, including shoes and other accessories.

Different occasions:
work, family, day off, seaside vacation, gym, club party

07
"Uniform" wardrobe
There are several "uniforms" in the wardrobe here,
each associated with a particular occasion. There
is often a rigid wardrobe restriction imposed by a
dress code.

08
Mixed wardrobe
Remember, there is no need to follow one
specific approach when creating a wardrobe.
The best way to achieve a balanced wardrobe is
to find a mix of wardrobe types that best suit
your lifestyle.

For example, a "uniform" wardrobe for work; a

basic wardrobe with accents for personal life;
and a separate wardrobe capsule for holidays,
sports, and going out.

09
Perfect!
There are several methods you can use to

create a wardrobe. But before moving forward,

we want to remind you that maintaining a

systematic seasonal wardrobe is a must.

10
color Unity
Basic wardrobes are versatile and
combinable because the color scheme
is uniform. It ensures that all your
clothes are perfectly coordinated.
According to the top style fashionistas,
a wardrobe can be divided into three
different color schemes.

tips and tricks:

Stylists distinguish three main color

scheme of the wardrobe.

11
Monodrob or
"color silence"
Monodrob is based on traditional basic colors,
which differ in their maximum combinatorial
index. They are achromatic (black, white, gray)
and neutral (beige, brown).

12
Monochrome
color strategy
Colors in this wardrobe scheme include
achromatic and neutral shades, conditional
achromats, and all shades of one color:

only red, only blue,

only yellow, only
green, only purple

13
Full-color wardrobe
A full-color wardrobe should meet at least one of the following
requirements to provide the maximum combination of essentials:

The wardrobe should contain clothes with the same color

temperature - cold or warm.

Color saturation should be the same throughout the

wardrobe, whether it is dark or light.

14
Style unity
The ideal wardrobe needs to have a uniform style

direction. Only wardrobe clothes of the same style

can be combined; stylistically neutral bases make it

easier to combine them with other things.

Of course, absolute neutral clothes in terms of style

do not exist. The items you choose should, however,

be in line with your personal style. In terms of style,

casual is considered to be the most versatile and

neutral.

If you are not sure if your current style suits you or if

you feel uncomfortable wearing your clothes, we

recommend sticking with casual.

15
Lifestyle unity
This should be obvious but is so often ignored.
Dress according to your lifestyle. This is especially
important for a basic wardrobe.

Decide which areas of your life dominate your

time (work, family, home, etc.). Your wardrobe
should reflect this. The next step is to create a
lifestyle diagram in which you define your activities
and calculate them (see page 21). Situational
capsules should be left for occasions not often
encountered (vacation at sea, theater, wedding of a
friend).

In addition to matching your lifestyle, your wardrobe

should be seasonally or temperature-appropriate.
Outerwear and shoes are also included.

16
And we're done
with theory!
Now we want you to evaluate your current
wardrobe to see if it fits in with your needs and
preferences.

Act now, before it's too late!

17
Your wardrobe - what's inside?

Great job so far!
Now it's time to say "goodbye" to your old

clothes.

As of now, you should have reviewed your

wardrobe and determined what you have and

what you need. Next, finalize the basic

wardrobe: buy any missing items and toss

the rest (any of the clothes not listed).

The wheel of life
The wheel of life helps you map out different aspects of
your life, and identifies areas where you want to improve
or make changes. We will use the wheel to select
appropriate outfits. But first, we need to find out which
areas dominate your life.

Using our wheel, we have 8 sections in a circle. Each

sector represents a different aspect of your life. You can
choose your own or use the ones described above.

After this, rate the current state of each activity on a

scale of 1-10 (1 - rarely, 10 - often). The higher the
score, the more likely these areas dominate in your life.
In other words, you need to create more outfit variants
for them. Leave situational capsules for the rest.

23
Fashion mood board
Many of us often buy clothes but rarely wear them. Why do we
do this? Well, shopping is an emotional activity, and we
rarely plan such spontaneous purchases.

The clothes in your wardrobe should reflect your inner self,

and your style, so that your wardrobe is a reflection of who
you are.

Having a style and wardrobe plan will help with this. Create a
mood board to inspire you to create the wardrobe you've
always wanted.

24
1 Concept
Whenever we like something or get inspired,
we collect it. This is the mood board. Print out
each photo and attach it to a whiteboard so you
can always see it, or create a virtual one.
2 Color scheme
Your future wardrobe can be color-
coordinated based on the mood board. The
next step is to create a color chart for your

3
wardrobe based on your favorite colors.
Style
Get inspired by other styles and add them
to your mood board. By doing this, you will be
able to discover what you like and don't like.

4 Collage
To check the design of your wardrobe,
you need to make a collage of items that
correspond to points 1-3.

tips and tricks:

After you've found the perfect wardrobe style, go shopping!
